Setup
Charging the Battery
The Nitecore TIP3 features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. To charge the device:

Dual-Button Interface
The TIP3 features two buttons for operation:
- Mode Button (≡): Adjusts brightness levels and accesses TURBO mode.
- Power Button (⑂): Turns the light On/Off, accesses ULTRALOW mode, and activates lockout.

Power On/Off
- To Turn On: When the light is off, press the Power Button (⑂).
- To Turn Off: When the light is on, press the Power Button (⑂).
Brightness Levels
The TIP3 offers five brightness levels:
- Adjusting Levels: When the light is on, press the Mode Button (≡) to cycle through ULTRALOW → LOW → MID → HIGH.
- TURBO Mode (720 Lumens): When the light is on, long press the Mode Button (≡) to directly access TURBO. Release to return to the previous mode. Ideal for long-range outdoor lighting.
- ULTRALOW Mode (1 Lumen): When the light is off, long press the Power Button (⑂) to directly access ULTRALOW. Release to turn off. Perfect for close-range lighting and night vision preservation.

Color Temperature Switching
The TIP3 allows switching between multiple color temperatures:
- When the light is on, simultaneously press and hold both the Power Button (⑂) and the Mode Button (≡) to cycle through the available color temperatures (3000K, 4500K, 6500K). Release the buttons to select the desired temperature.
Power Indication
The four LED indicators provide real-time battery status:
- 4 Constant-on LEDs: 75%–100% battery remaining.
- 3 Constant-on LEDs: 50%–75% battery remaining.
- 2 Constant-on LEDs: 25%–50% battery remaining.
- 1 Constant-on LED: 10%–25% battery remaining.
- 1 Flashing LED: Less than 10% battery remaining. Please recharge the product as soon as possible.
Lockout Modes
To prevent accidental activation, the TIP3 offers two lockout modes:
- Electronic Lockout:
- Semi Lockout Mode: When the light is off, long press the Power Button (⑂) until the red lockout indicator flashes once. This prevents accidental activation but allows access to TURBO mode by long-pressing the Mode Button (≡).
- Full Lockout Mode: When in Semi Lockout Mode, long press the Power Button (⑂) again until the red lockout indicator flashes twice. Both buttons are locked, ensuring safer carrying or storage.
- To Unlock: In either lockout mode, long press both the Power Button (⑂) and Mode Button (≡) simultaneously until the light flashes, indicating it is unlocked.
