5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the dehumidifier and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in an area where the humidity is highest. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Drainage Setup:
    • Manual Drainage: Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted into the unit. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
    • Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation without emptying the tank, connect the included drain hose to the drainage port on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink) ensuring it is sloped downwards to allow water to flow out by gravity.

The control panel is located on the top of the unit. It features touch-sensitive buttons and a digital display.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Emptying the Water Tank

  1. When the water tank is full, the unit will beep and the 'Tank Full' indicator will illuminate. The unit will stop operating.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  3. Pour out the collected water.
  4. Reinsert the empty water tank firmly into the unit. The unit will resume operation automatically.

7.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

7.3 Cleaning the Air Filter

The washable air filter helps maintain the unit's efficiency and air quality. Clean it every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Locate the air filter on the back of the unit. Gently pull it out.
  3. Wash the filter with clean water. A mild detergent can be used if necessary.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
  5. Slide the dry filter back into its slot.
