2. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all lanterns and components from the packaging.
2. Activate: Locate the ON/OFF switch, typically found on the underside of the solar panel. Slide the switch to the "ON" position.
3. Remove Protective Film: Gently peel off any clear protective plastic film from the surface of the solar panel. This is crucial for efficient solar charging.
4. Placement: Choose an outdoor location that receives 6-8 hours of direct, unobstructed sunlight daily. Ensure no shadows from trees, buildings, or other structures fall on the solar panel during the day.
5. Installation: Use the integrated hook to hang the lanterns from a tree branch, shepherd's hook, or wall bracket. Alternatively, place them on a flat surface such as a table or step.

3. Operation

• Automatic Charging: Once the switch is in the "ON" position and the protective film is removed, the lanterns will automatically absorb sunlight and charge their internal battery during the day.
• Automatic Illumination: A built-in light sensor detects ambient light levels. At dusk, when light levels are low, the lanterns will automatically turn on.
• Lighting Duration: On a full charge (typically 6-8 hours of direct sunlight), the lanterns will provide 10-14 hours of continuous illumination.
• Automatic Shut-off: At dawn, as light levels increase, the lanterns will automatically turn off and resume charging.

4. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Solar Panel: To ensure optimal charging efficiency, periodically wipe the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove any accumulated dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Clear Obstructions: Regularly check that no new foliage or objects are obstructing the solar panel's exposure to direct sunlight.
• Weather Resistance: The lanterns are designed with an IP65 waterproof rating, making them resistant to rain, snow, wind, and heat. They do not require special protection during most weather conditions.

5. Troubleshooting

• Lanterns do not light up at night:
  • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position.
  • Verify the solar panel is clean and free from any obstructions.
  • Confirm the lantern receives 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Relocate if necessary.
  • Allow the lantern to charge for at least 2 full sunny days before expecting full performance, especially after initial setup or prolonged storage.
• Lanterns light up for a short duration:
  • The solar panel may not be receiving enough direct sunlight for a full charge. Check placement and obstructions.
  • The battery may not be fully charged due to cloudy weather or insufficient sun exposure. Allow more charging time.
  • Extreme cold weather can reduce battery efficiency and overall lighting duration.
