1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AIRMSEN Grind & Brew Coffee Maker. This appliance combines a coffee grinder and a drip brewer, offering convenience and fresh coffee with every use. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your new coffee maker to ensure safe and efficient use.

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Multi Safety Protections: The coffee maker is equipped with a dual fuse with thermostat overheat protection that automatically cuts power when temperatures exceed limits. A built-in microswitch in the lid disconnects core power when opened during operation (except in keep-warm mode), preventing burns or machine malfunctions.

4. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and clean all removable parts as described in the Maintenance section.

  1. Positioning: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from water sources.
  2. Power Connection: Unwind the power cord from the hidden storage at the back of the unit and plug it into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  3. Initial Cleaning Cycle: Before brewing coffee for the first time, run a full brewing cycle with only water to clean the internal components.

5. Operating Instructions

Your AIRMSEN coffee maker offers flexible brewing options and programmable features.

5.1. Adding Water and Coffee

  1. Press the button on the top lid to open it.
  2. Remove the all-in-one grinder filter by twisting it to unlock and lifting it out.
  3. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired level, indicated by the markings on the glass carafe (1-5 cups, max 25oz). Do not exceed the MAX line.
  4. For Whole Beans: Add whole coffee beans directly into the grinder filter basket. Use the included scoop for accurate measurement.
  5. For Pre-Ground Coffee: Add pre-ground coffee into the filter basket.
  6. Securely place the grinder filter back into position and close the top lid.
  7. Ensure the glass carafe is correctly placed on the warming plate.

5.2. Setting Grind Options (for Whole Beans)

The coffee maker offers 3 grind settings:

  • Coarse: For a lighter flavor.
  • Medium: For a balanced flavor.
  • Fine: For a stronger, richer flavor.

Press the 'BEAN/POWDER' button on the control panel to cycle through the grind options. The display will show corresponding icons for coarse, medium, or fine grind. If using pre-ground coffee, select the 'powder' option.

5.3. Setting the Time and Delay Start

  • Set Current Time: Press and hold the 'DELAY START' button until the hour digits flash. Use the left and right arrow buttons to adjust the hour and minutes. Press 'DELAY START' again to confirm.
  • Program Delay Start: Press the 'DELAY START' button once. The clock icon will illuminate. Use the arrow buttons to set the desired start time. The coffee maker will automatically begin brewing at the set time. The memory function retains your previous timer setting.

5.4. Brewing Coffee

  1. After adding water and coffee (and setting grind/delay if applicable), press the 'ON/OFF' button to start brewing immediately.
  2. The coffee maker will automatically grind the beans (if whole beans are selected) and then begin the brewing process.

5.5. Keep Warm Function

After brewing is complete, the coffee maker automatically enters a 1-hour keep-warm mode. To extend the keep-warm time up to 2 hours, press the 'KEEP WARM' button. The warming plate will keep your coffee at an optimal temperature.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your coffee maker.

6.1. Daily Cleaning

  1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the glass carafe and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Remove the all-in-one grinder filter. Discard any used coffee grounds. Rinse the filter under running water. The filter is fully removable for thorough cleaning.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.

6.2. Descaling

After approximately 500 uses, the coffee maker's screen will automatically display a descaling prompt. This indicates that mineral deposits may have built up and need to be removed.

  1. Mix a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar or a commercial descaling agent) with water in a 1:3 ratio.
  2. Pour the mixture into the water tank.
  3. Press and hold both arrow buttons on the control panel for 3 seconds to activate the descaling mode.
  4. The coffee maker will run a descaling cycle. Once complete, run 2-3 cycles with fresh water only to rinse thoroughly.

7. Troubleshooting
