2. Important Safety Warnings

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations.

  • Pre-Ride Check: Before each ride, inspect the brakes, tires, battery level, and all quick-release mechanisms to ensure they are secure.
  • Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 265 lbs (120 kg).
  • Weather Conditions: Avoid riding in heavy rain, snow, or icy conditions. The bike is designed with some water resistance, but extreme conditions can affect performance and safety.
  • Children: This bike is intended for adult use. If carrying a passenger on the rear seat (where applicable), ensure they are securely seated and aware of safety protocols.
  • Folding Mechanism: Ensure all folding mechanisms are fully locked before riding. Regularly check for wear and tear on these components.

4. Setup and Assembly

Your WERHY electric bike comes mostly pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

  1. Unfolding the Frame:

Carefully unfold the main frame until it locks into place. Ensure the folding mechanism is securely latched. Refer to the video for visual guidance.

  2. Handlebar Installation:

Insert the handlebar stem into the front fork tube. Adjust the height to a comfortable position and tighten the quick-release lever or bolts securely. Ensure the handlebars are aligned with the front wheel.

  3. Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment:

Insert the seat post into the frame. Adjust the saddle height to allow for a slight bend in your knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. Secure the quick-release lever firmly. The seat height is adjustable from 27.5 to 31.5 inches.

  4. Pedal Attachment:

Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms by hand, then tighten them firmly with a wrench. Note that the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise.

  5. Battery Installation and Charging:

If the battery is separate, slide it into its compartment until it clicks into place. Ensure it is locked with the key. Fully charge the battery before your first ride. Connect the charger to the bike's charging port, then plug it into a power outlet. The charging indicator will show when charging is complete (typically 4-5 hours).
