3. Setup and Assembly
The TopMate ES35 scooter is designed for easy folding and unfolding. Follow these steps for initial setup and to prepare for use.
3.1 Unfolding the Scooter
Lift the Seat: Locate the seat and lift it upwards to its highest point.
Lower the Seat: Gently lower the seat into its riding position, ensuring it locks securely.
Merge Scooter Bodies: Bring the front and rear sections of the scooter together until they align and lock into place.
Rotate Front Section: Push the front folding switch upwards and simultaneously rotate the front section of the scooter to the opposite side until it is fully extended and locked.

3.2 Battery Installation and Charging
The TopMate ES35 features a removable 36V 7.8Ah lithium battery.
Installation: Insert the battery into its designated compartment, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
Charging: Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port or directly to the removed battery. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The charging time is approximately 3.5 hours.
Security: Use the provided key to lock the battery compartment for enhanced security.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting and Stopping
Power On: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. The display will illuminate.
Power Off: Turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it.
Braking: Use the front braking lever on the handlebar to slow down or stop the scooter. The parking brake can be engaged for stationary security.
4.2 Speed Modes and Reverse Function
The scooter offers three adjustable speed settings and a reverse function.

Speed Adjustment: Use the speed selector switch on the handlebar to choose between three modes:
Low Speed: 3 mph (5 km/h) - Recommended for turning and crowded areas.
Medium Speed: 7 mph (11 km/h) - Suitable for daily driving.
High Speed: 15 mph (24 km/h) - For open areas, exercise caution.
Reverse Function: Press the dedicated button on the handlebar to switch to reverse mode. The maximum reverse speed is 3 mph. Press again to switch back to forward.
4.3 Display Information
The LED display provides real-time information:
Battery Level: Indicates the remaining battery charge.
Current Speed: Shows your current travel speed.
Mileage: Displays the distance traveled.
4.4 Riding Tips
Maintain a comfortable posture with both feet on the footrests.
Always be aware of your surroundings and potential obstacles.
Avoid sudden turns at high speeds.
For optimal stability, especially when turning, reduce your speed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning
Wipe down the scooter with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and dust.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
Do not use high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
5.2 Battery Care
Charge the battery fully after each ride, even if only partially discharged.
If storing the scooter for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% and recharge every 1-2 months to prevent deep discharge.
Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
5.3 Tire Pressure
Regularly check the tire pressure. Proper inflation is crucial for ride comfort, efficiency, and safety.
Refer to the tire sidewall for the recommended pressure (PSI).
