5. Setup

5.1 First Use and Initial Cleaning

1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the machine.
2. Wash the water tank, drip tray, and all adapters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX level.
4. Place an empty cup on the drip tray.
5. Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet. Press the power button to turn it on. The machine will heat up (indicated by flashing lights).
6. Once the machine is ready (lights solid), perform a rinse cycle: Insert any empty adapter (without a capsule/coffee) into the brewing chamber. Select a large volume (e.g., 300ml) and press the brew button. Let the hot water run through. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the internal system.

5.2 Filling the Water Tank

Lift the water tank from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX mark. Place the tank back securely, ensuring it is properly seated to prevent leaks.

6.1 General Operation

1. Power On: Press the power button. The machine will preheat.
2. Insert Adapter: Select the appropriate adapter for your coffee type and insert it into the brewing chamber. The machine intelligently recognizes the adapter.
3. Adjust Settings: Use the touch panel to adjust:
   • Temperature (Temp): Short touch to adjust by 1°C (80°C–96°C). Long touch for rapid adjustment.
   • Volume (Quantity): Short touch to adjust by 5ml (20ml–360ml). Long touch for rapid adjustment.
   • Pre-infusion: Toggle on/off. When active, coffee is gently moistened before full extraction for enhanced flavor.
4. Brew: Place your cup on the drip tray. Touch the brew icon to start. The machine will automatically stop when the set volume is reached.
5. Power Off: The machine automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity. You can also press the power button to turn it off manually.

6.2 Using Different Adapters

Each adapter is designed for specific coffee formats. The machine's intelligent system adjusts brewing parameters accordingly.

• Nespresso* Original Capsules: Place the capsule into the Nespresso adapter.
• Dolce Gusto* Capsules: Place the capsule into the Dolce Gusto adapter.
• Lavazza* A Modo Mio Capsules: Place the capsule into the Lavazza adapter.
• E.S.E. 44mm Pods: Place the E.S.E. pod into its dedicated adapter.
• Ground Coffee: Fill the ground coffee adapter's filter basket with your desired amount of finely ground coffee (use the provided measuring spoon). Tamp lightly with the spoon's flat end.

Note: This machine is not compatible with Nespresso Vertuo, Tassimo, or Senseo capsules.

6.3 Adjusting Drip Tray

The drip tray can be adjusted to two levels or removed entirely to accommodate taller cups (up to 15 cm).

7. Maintenance

7.1 Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. It can be washed with warm, soapy water.
• Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily. Clean it thoroughly with warm, soapy water weekly.
• Adapters: After each use, remove and rinse the adapter. For ground coffee, discard used grounds and rinse the filter.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.

7.2 Descaling

Mineral deposits from water can build up inside the machine, affecting performance and coffee taste. The machine will alert you to descale after approximately 300 uses (LED alert flashes).

1. Empty the water tank and fill it with a descaling solution (follow the descaler manufacturer's instructions) or a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio).
2. Place a large container (at least 1.2L capacity) under the coffee outlet.
3. Press and hold the descaling icon on the touch panel for 3 seconds to start the descaling cycle.
4. The machine will automatically run the descaling solution through the system in cycles. This process may take several minutes.
5. Once the descaling cycle is complete, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
6. Run 2-3 full water tanks of fresh water through the machine (without any capsule/coffee) to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.

7.3 Cleaning Needle

If the coffee flow is blocked or very slow, use the provided cleaning needle to clear any obstructions in the coffee outlet or the capsule piercing mechanism.
