1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Lefant M5 Pro LiDAR Robot Vacuum and Mop. 3. Setup

3.1 Base Station Placement

Place the All-in-One Base Station against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1.5 meters (5 feet) in front and 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) on either side. Connect the power cable to the base station and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the power cable is neatly organized to prevent entanglement.

3.2 Robot Preparation

  • Remove all protective films from the robot and base station.
  • Install the side brushes by clipping them into their designated slots on the underside of the robot.
  • Fill the clean water tank in the base station with fresh water.
  • Add the floor cleaning solution to the designated compartment in the base station, ensuring not to exceed the indicated fill line.
  • Place the robot onto the base station to begin charging.

3.3 App Connection

To unlock the full potential of your Lefant M5 Pro, connect it to the Lefant app:

  1. Download the Lefant App from your mobile app store (available for iOS and Android).
  2. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4G/5G WiFi network.
  3. Open the Lefant App and create an account or log in.
  4. Tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon to add your M5 Pro robot.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to put the robot into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding the Start/Pause button for 6 seconds until you hear a voice prompt).
  6. Select your Lefant M5 Pro from the scanned devices and confirm the connection.

4.1 Cleaning Modes

  • Vacuum Mode: Sweeps and vacuums only. Ideal for carpets or when mopping is not desired.
  • Mop Mode: Mops only. Suitable for hard floors.
  • Vacuum & Mop Mode: Sweeps, vacuums, and mops simultaneously. Provides deep cleaning for various floor types.
  • Custom Mode: Allows you to set specific cleaning preferences for different rooms, including suction power and water level.

4.2 Smart Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance

The robot automatically detects carpets. In Vacuum & Mop mode, it will increase suction and raise the roller mop by 0.3 inches (8mm) to prevent wetting the carpet while ensuring thorough vacuuming.

4.4 App Control & Voice Control

Use the Lefant app to:

5.1 Base Station Maintenance

  • Dust Bag: The base station automatically empties the robot's dustbin into a 3.2L dust bag, which typically lasts up to 120 days. Replace the dust bag when full.
  • Water Tanks: Regularly empty the dirty water tank and refill the clean water tank. The base station features automatic wastewater discharge and water replenishment.
  • Mop Washing & Drying: The base station automatically cleans the roller mop with 167°F hot water and dries it with cold air to prevent odors and maintain hygiene.

5.2 Robot Component Maintenance

  • Dustbin & Filter: The robot's internal dustbin and filter should be cleaned periodically. The filter can be washed or replaced.
  • Roller Mop: While the base station cleans the mop, inspect it regularly for wear or damage. Replace the roller mop as needed.
  • V-shaped Brush Roll & Side Brushes: Check these brushes for tangled hair or debris. The V-shaped design and double comb help prevent tangles, making them easy to clean.
  • Sensors: Wipe the robot's sensors with a dry cloth to ensure clear detection and navigation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Lefant M5 Pro, try the following solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the robot is properly docked and the base station is powered on. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the base station.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Check if the dustbin is full or the filter is clogged. Clean or replace as necessary. Ensure the roller mop is clean and wet. Check for tangled hair on brushes.
  • Navigation errors/getting stuck: Clear any scattered wires or small debris from the floor. Ensure the robot's sensors are clean. Reset the map in the app if navigation becomes chaotic.
