4. Product Overview

The Lefant M5 Max consists of the robot unit and an all-in-one base station. The robot features LiDAR navigation, a powerful vacuum, and a roller mop. The base station handles automatic dust emptying, hot water mop washing, and cold air drying.

4.1 Robot Unit

The robot is equipped with a LiDAR sensor for precise mapping, PSD 2.0 obstacle avoidance sensors, a V-shaped turbo brush, and a zero-tangle ARC side brush for efficient cleaning. It also features an 8mm self-lifting roller brush for seamless transitions between hard floors and carpets.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Placement

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Choose a suitable location for the base station. Ensure it is placed against a wall, with at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front. Avoid areas with direct sunlight or strong Wi-Fi signals from other devices.
3. Plug the charging adapter into the base station and then into a power outlet.

5.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot onto the base station. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the base station. The robot will begin charging automatically. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation (approximately 6 hours).

5.3 App Installation and Connection

The Lefant app provides full control and customization options for your M5 Max.

1. Download the "Lefant" app from your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
2. Open the app and create an account or log in.

6.1 Cleaning Modes

The M5 Max offers simultaneous vacuuming and mopping. The pressurized roller mop operates at 280 rpm, ensuring effective cleaning. The robot automatically adjusts suction and mop pressure based on floor type.

6.2 Carpet Detection and Mop Lifting

When the M5 Max detects carpet, it automatically increases suction power and raises the roller mop by 0.3 inches (8mm) to prevent wetting the carpet and ensure optimal vacuuming.
