3. Power Supply & Battery Installation
The feeder is powered by 2 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (not included). The feeder starts automatically once batteries are installed.
Important Notes:
- Do not use rechargeable batteries to operate this product.
- Auto-feeding settings must be reconfigured after battery replacement.
- Remove batteries when not in use for extended periods.

4. Operation Panel & Settings

Daily Feed Interval Setting:
Press the Clock icon repeatedly to select feeding intervals: 8h, 12h, or 24h. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate to show your selection.
- 8h: 3 feedings daily
- 12h: 2 feedings daily
- 24h: 1 feeding daily

Feed Portion Size Setting:
Press the Food icon repeatedly to select feeding portions: 1, 2, 3, or 4. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate to show your selection.
- 1: 1 portion per feeding
- 2: 2 portions per feeding
- 3: 3 portions per feeding
- 4: 4 portions per feeding

Manual Feeding:
Press the Hand icon to dispense food once. Repeated presses will dispense multiple feedings. Feed portion sizes follow your settings above. Manual feeding will not interrupt the auto-feeding timing cycle.
TIP: Repeat this step 5-10 times to test portion size before going automatic.

5. Food Pusher Selection & Replacement
The feeder includes two interchangeable spiral food pushers to accommodate different types of dry fish food.
- Tight Helices Pusher: Factory-installed, ideal for powder or pellets under 0.06" / 1.5 mm.
- Sharp Teeth Pusher: User-installed, suitable for flakes under 0.1" / 3 mm.

Food Pusher Replacement Guide:
- Remove the side cover and food container cover.
- Flip open the protective door.
- Pinch the handles of the pusher fastener and lift it out.
- Push out the old pusher from inside the food container.
- Align the new pusher's thread tip with the slot's angled edge, then insert it.
- Reinstall the pusher fastener.
- Push back the covers.

6. Installation Options
The Pawfly AF-501 offers two convenient installation methods:
Option 1: Rimless Tank Wall Mounting
Mount the auto fish food dispenser to your tank wall using the included 360° rotatable bracket.
- NOTE: Not suitable for rimmed tanks.
- Tank wall thickness must be under 0.8" / 2 cm.
- Point the food outlet toward the tank interior or feeding port.
Option 2: Covered Tank Lid Attachment
Attach the feeder to the tank lid using double-sided tape (Not Included).
- Secure with double-sided tape (Not Included).
- Align feeder food outlet with feeding hole in lid.

7. Maintenance & Care
- Moisture-Proof & Anti-Clogging: The feeder features built-in magnets on the outlet door and pusher fastener, which automatically seal the food container after each feeding. This keeps fish food fresh and dry, preventing clumping and jams.
- Cleaning: Do not clean the product with detergents, solvents, or acidic liquids. Wipe with a damp cloth only.
- Food Outlet: Keep the food outlet dry and away from air/water pump outlets during installation to prevent moisture ingress.
- Food Capacity: The 85 mL capacity is ideal for small aquariums and betta tanks (5-20 gal/19-76 L). The translucent food container allows for easy monitoring of food levels for timely refills.
