1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on one of the earmuff cups.
  2. Gently open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

3.2 Adjusting Fit

For optimal performance and comfort, adjust the earmuffs to fit snugly over your ears.

  1. Extend the headband by pulling the ear cups downwards.
  2. Place the earmuffs over your ears, ensuring they fully cover your outer ears.
  3. Adjust the headband length until the ear cups fit securely and comfortably, creating a good seal around your ears.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

  1. To power on, press and hold the power button located on the ear cup until you hear an audible indication.
  2. To adjust the volume of ambient sound amplification, use the volume control buttons (+/-) on the ear cup.
  3. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the device shuts down.

4.2 Sound Activated Compression (SAC)

The Recon Digital Muffs feature Sound Activated Compression (SAC) technology. This system automatically reduces dangerously loud noises (e.g., gunshots) to a safe level within milliseconds, while still allowing you to hear ambient sounds and conversations clearly.

4.3 Auto Shut-Off Feature

To conserve battery life, the earmuffs are equipped with an auto shut-off feature. You can typically set this to 2, 4, or 6 hours. Refer to the device's controls for specific adjustment methods.

4.4 Using the 3.5mm Audio Input Jack
