Setup

Charging the Mouse

Before initial use, fully charge the mouse using the provided Type-C braided charging cable. Connect the Type-C end to the mouse and the USB-A end to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter.

Connectivity Modes

The EvoFox Blaze 2 supports three connectivity modes:

  1. Wired Mode: Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the Type-C cable. This mode offers the lowest latency (<1ms) and charges the mouse simultaneously.
  2. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:
    • Insert the Nano Receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
    • Ensure the mouse is switched to 2.4GHz mode (usually indicated by a switch on the bottom of the mouse).
    • The mouse should connect automatically. This mode offers ultra-low latency (<20ms).
  3. Dual Bluetooth Mode (BTx2):
    • Switch the mouse to one of the Bluetooth modes (BT1 or BT2) using the switch on the bottom.
    • On your computer or device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "EvoFox Blaze 2" to pair.
    • You can pair with two different Bluetooth devices and switch between them. This mode offers low latency (<70ms).

Software Installation

For full customization of DPI, polling rate, RGB lighting, and button mapping, download and install the dedicated EvoFox Blaze 2 software from the official EvoFox website. The software is required to unlock the mouse's full potential.

Note: The software detects the mouse only when connected via wired or 2.4GHz USB mode.

Operation

DPI Adjustment

The EvoFox Blaze 2 features an Instant S205 optical sensor with up to 12,800 DPI. You can cycle through preset DPI levels using the dedicated DPI buttons on the mouse. For fine-tuning and setting up to 6 custom DPI levels, use the comprehensive software.

Polling Rate

The mouse supports a 1000Hz polling rate, ensuring rapid response times. The polling rate can be adjusted via the software for specific needs.

Programmable Buttons

The mouse is equipped with 8 programmable buttons, including a dedicated fire button. Use the software to assign custom functions, macros, and key combinations to these buttons for enhanced in-game control and productivity.

Maintenance

Battery Management

The EvoFox Blaze 2 is equipped with a 500mAh rechargeable battery. To maximize battery life:

  • Charge the mouse when the battery indicator shows low power.
  • Utilize the smart power-saving features:
    • Idle Mode: Activates after 1 minute of no movement.
    • Deep Sleep Mode: Activates after 10 minutes of inactivity.
  • These timers can be customized through the software.

Cleaning

Wipe the mouse with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not responding:
    • Ensure the mouse is charged.
    • Check the connectivity mode switch (Wired, 2.4GHz, BT1, BT2) on the bottom of the mouse.
    • For 2.4GHz mode, ensure the Nano Receiver is securely plugged into a USB port.
    • For Bluetooth mode, ensure the mouse is paired correctly with your device.
    • Try connecting the mouse in wired mode to confirm functionality.
  • Software not detecting mouse:
    • The software only detects the mouse when connected via wired or 2.4GHz USB mode. Ensure you are using one of these modes.
    • Restart the software and/or your computer.
  • Intermittent connectivity:
    • Ensure there are no strong interference sources (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects) near the mouse or receiver.
    • For 2.4GHz, try plugging the Nano Receiver into a different USB port, preferably a front-facing one if using a desktop.
    • Ensure the mouse battery is sufficiently charged.
  • RGB lighting issues:
    • Ensure the software is installed and running, and check RGB settings.
    • Some lighting modes may consume more battery; ensure the mouse is charged.
