6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Anycubic Photon P1. Always wear gloves and a mask during maintenance procedures.

6.1 Cleaning the Resin Vat and Build Platform

  • After each print, carefully remove any cured resin from the build platform using the provided scraper.
  • Clean the build platform with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and wipe it dry.
  • If changing resin types or if there are cured resin bits in the vat, clean the resin vat thoroughly with IPA.
  • Inspect the FEP film in the resin vat for any damage or cloudiness. Replace if necessary.

6.2 General Cleaning

  • Regularly wipe down the exterior of the printer with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Keep the LCD screen clean and free of dust or resin spills. Use a soft cloth and screen cleaner if needed.
  • Ensure the Z-axis lead screw is clean and lightly lubricated to maintain smooth movement.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Photon P1, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Print Failures: Check resin exposure settings, ensure the build platform is properly leveled, and verify the FEP film is intact.
  • Resin Not Curing: Confirm the UV light source is functioning (use the exposure test), check resin expiration date, and ensure ambient temperature is within recommended range.
  • Printer Not Responding: Ensure power cables are securely connected and the power switch is on. Restart the printer.
  • AI Recheck Alerts: Address the specific issue indicated by the AI system (e.g., platform not installed, low resin, debris).
