2. Setup and Installation

The VTX075 heat pump is designed for easy and hassle-free installation, compatible with most above-ground and in-ground pools. It includes various connection options to suit your existing pool system.

2.1 Unboxing and Components

Upon unboxing, ensure all components are present. The package includes the heat pump unit, a 115V GFCI plug, and various adapters for hose and PVC pipe connections.

2.2 Site Selection

Choose a location for the heat pump that allows for adequate airflow. Ensure the unit is elevated at least an inch off the ground and has clear space around it for proper ventilation. The recommended space is at least 20 inches from sides and 59 inches from the front for optimal performance.

2.3 Plumbing Connections

Connect the heat pump to your pool's filtration system. Water flows from the pool, through the filter, into the heat pump's water inlet (blue port), and then heated water returns to the pool via the water outlet (red port).
