1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Sharp PS-916 Bluetooth Party Speaker System. This system includes two identical portable Bluetooth speakers designed to deliver powerful audio with versatile connectivity options. Please read this manual carefully before using the product to ensure proper operation and to maximize your listening experience.

2. Setup

2.1 Charging the Speakers

The PS-916 speakers are equipped with rechargeable batteries, providing up to 12 hours of playback. Before initial use, fully charge both speakers.

  1. Connect the charging cable to the DC IN port on the rear of each speaker.
  2. Plug the other end of the charging cable into a suitable power adapter (not included) or USB power source.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will change color or turn off once charging is complete.

2.2 Powering On/Off

To power on or off each speaker, press and hold the ON/STAND BY INPUT button located on the control panel.

2.3 Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating it is ready for pairing.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Sharp PS-916" from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.

2.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing (Two Speakers)

TWS allows you to connect two PS-916 speakers wirelessly for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Power on both PS-916 speakers.
  2. Ensure neither speaker is currently connected to a Bluetooth device.
  3. On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press the TWS button. The speaker will enter TWS pairing mode.
  4. The primary speaker will automatically search for the secondary speaker. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the TWS indicator lights on both speakers will illuminate.
  5. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 2.3. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

3. Operating

3.1 Control Panel Overview

  • ON/STAND BY INPUT: Power on/off, switch input modes (Bluetooth, USB, TF, AUX, FM).
  • PLAY/PAUSE (►/∕∕): Play or pause audio playback.
  • PREVIOUS (◀◀): Skip to the previous track.
  • NEXT (▶▶): Skip to the next track.
  • VOLUME KNOB: Rotate to adjust the master volume.
  • TWS: Initiate or disconnect True Wireless Stereo pairing.
  • EQUALIZER: Cycle through preset equalizer modes.
  • BASS: Activate or deactivate bass boost.
  • LIGHT: Change or turn off the LED light effects.
  • MIC CONTROL: Adjust microphone volume or echo (if applicable).

3.2 Input Ports

  • AUX IN: Connect external audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  • MIC IN: Connect a microphone (sold separately) for karaoke or announcements.
  • USB: Insert a USB flash drive for audio playback.
  • TF CARD: Insert a TF (microSD) card for audio playback.
  • DC IN: Connect the charging cable to power and charge the speaker.

3.3 Playing Audio from USB/TF Card

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or TF card into the corresponding port.
  2. Press the ON/STAND BY INPUT button repeatedly until the display shows the USB or TF mode.
  3. Playback will begin automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS, and NEXT buttons to control playback.

3.4 Using AUX Input

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  3. Press the ON/STAND BY INPUT button repeatedly until the display shows AUX mode.
  4. Control playback and volume from your external device.

3.5 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the ON/STAND BY INPUT button repeatedly until the display shows FM mode.
  2. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons to navigate through saved stations.

3.6 LED Light Effects

Press the LIGHT button to cycle through different LED light modes or to turn the lights off.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Always power off the speaker and disconnect it from the power source before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

4.2 Storage

  • Store the speakers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% every few months to maintain battery health.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Sharp PS-916 speakers, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

TWS pairing fails.Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth devices. Try initiating TWS pairing again.
Distorted sound.Reduce the volume on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the audio source is not distorted.
