4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge your Jumbao G6 camera. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the camera's USB-C port and the other end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

4.2. Inserting a Memory Card

The Jumbao G6 requires a TF (microSD) memory card (1GB-128GB) to store photos and videos. The memory card is not included in the package.

  1. Locate the microSD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Gently insert the TF card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
  3. To remove, gently push the card inward until it springs out.

4.3. Setting Date and Time

To ensure your photos and videos have the correct timestamp, set the date and time:

  1. Connect the camera to your computer using the USB-C cable.
  2. The camera display should show a menu with "Storage mode" and "Camera". Select "Storage mode".
  3. On your computer, navigate to the camera's storage. Look for a folder or file related to time setting (e.g., "update_time" or "timeset.txt").
  4. Follow the instructions within the file (if any) or use a provided utility to synchronize the camera's time with your computer's.
  5. Once updated, safely eject the camera from your computer and disconnect the cable.
  6. Turn the camera off and then on again to apply the new settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

To turn on the camera, long press the power button located on the top. To turn off, long press the power button again.

5.2. Switching Between Photo and Video Modes

The camera defaults to photo mode upon startup. To switch to video mode, press the UP button located on the side. Long press the UP button to return to camera mode.

5.3. Applying Filters and Frames

In photo mode, press the DOWN button to cycle through the available 4 frames and 7 filters. The effect will be displayed on the 0.96-inch LCD screen.

5.4. Viewing and Deleting Photos/Videos

To view your captured media, ensure you are in camera mode. Press the UP button twice to enter the viewing mode. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to navigate through your photos and videos. To delete a file, long press the DOWN button while viewing the desired item, then select "Delete" and "Confirm" using the power button.

5.5. Using as a Webcam

The Jumbao G6 can function as a webcam. To activate this mode, connect the camera to your computer via the USB-C cable without a TF memory card inserted. The camera should automatically enter PC Camera mode, allowing it to be recognized as a webcam by your computer's software.
