Setup
1. Placement:
- Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface that can support its weight when the water tank is full.
- Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture that could block the air inlets or outlets.
- For optimal performance, close all doors and windows in the room where the dehumidifier is operating.

2. Power Connection:
- Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V/60Hz electrical outlet.
- Do not use extension cords or power strips with this appliance.
3. Drainage Options:
The OLIXIS dehumidifier offers two drainage methods:
A. Manual Drainage (Water Tank):
- The unit will collect water in its 1.19 gallon (4.5L) water tank.
- When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate.
- Carefully remove the water tank from the front of the unit and empty the collected water.
- Replace the water tank securely into the unit to resume operation.
B. Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose):
- For continuous operation without emptying the tank, attach the included 3.28 ft drain hose.
- Locate the continuous drain outlet on the back or side of the unit.
- Remove the rubber stopper (if present) and firmly attach one end of the drain hose to the outlet.
- Route the other end of the hose to a suitable drain location (e.g., floor drain, sink, bucket) ensuring it is lower than the dehumidifier's drain outlet for gravity flow.
- Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked to prevent water backup.

Operating Instructions
Control Panel:
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features various buttons and indicators for easy operation.

Functions:
- Power Button (On/Off): Press to turn the unit on or off.
- Mode Button (M): Cycle through the four operating modes:
- Auto Mode: The unit automatically adjusts fan speed and dehumidification based on the ambient humidity to maintain the set humidity level.
- Drying Mode: Operates continuously at high fan speed to quickly dry clothes or reduce high humidity.
- Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower fan speed for quieter operation, suitable for nighttime use. The display lights dim.
- Air Purification Mode: Activates the air purification function to reduce airborne contaminants.
- Humidity Level Adjustment (ADJ): Press to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 40%, 50%, 60%). The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached.
- Timer Button (0-24H Setting): Press to set an auto-on or auto-off timer from 0 to 24 hours.
- When the unit is off, set a timer for auto-start.
- When the unit is on, set a timer for auto-shutoff.
- Fan Speed Button (High/Low): Adjusts the fan speed between High and Low settings. (Note: Some modes may automatically control fan speed).
- Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the 75° vertical airflow swing function. When off, louvers can be manually adjusted.
- Child Lock Button (ION/LOCK): Press and hold to activate or deactivate the child lock, preventing accidental changes to settings.
- Auto-Defrost: The unit features an automatic defrost system that activates when frost is detected on the coils, ensuring efficient operation in colder conditions.
- Auto-Restore on Power Recovery: If power is interrupted, the unit will automatically resume operation with the last settings once power is restored.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
1. Cleaning the Air Filter:
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter cover (usually on the back or side of the unit).
- Remove the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
- Reinstall the dry filter and close the cover.
2. Cleaning the Water Tank:
Clean the water tank periodically to prevent mold and mildew growth.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it.
- Remove the water tank.
- Wash the tank with warm water and a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before placing it back into the unit.
3. Cleaning the Exterior:
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
4. Storage:
If storing the unit for an extended period:
- Empty and clean the water tank.
- Clean the air filter.
- Wrap the power cord neatly.
- Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
