6. Operating Instructions

Important Note: The MUNBYN IMC27 does not support counting mixed denominations simultaneously. Bills must be sorted by denomination before counting for value calculation.

6.1. Basic Counting

  1. Ensure the machine is powered on and in standby mode.
  2. Carefully place a stack of sorted bills into the hopper. Ensure the bills are neatly aligned and not folded or crumpled.
  3. The machine will automatically start counting. The count will be displayed on the main screen and the external display (if connected).
  4. Once counting is complete, remove the counted bills from the stacker.

6.2. Value Counting (Single Denomination)

To calculate the total value of a stack of bills:

  1. Press the "VALUE" button (or equivalent) on the control panel.
  2. Select the denomination of the bills you are about to count (e.g., 10 EUR, 20 USD) using the denomination selection buttons.
  3. Place the sorted bills of that specific denomination into the hopper.
  4. The machine will count the bills and display the total value.

6.3. ADD Mode (Summation)

The ADD mode allows you to accumulate the count of multiple batches. Each new batch counted will be added to the previous total.

  1. Press the "ADD" button to activate ADD mode. An indicator light or icon will confirm the mode is active.
  2. Count your first batch of bills.
  3. Place the next batch into the hopper. The new count will be added to the previous total.
  4. To exit ADD mode, press the "ADD" button again.

6.4. BATCH Mode (Preset Quantity)

BATCH mode allows you to set a desired number of bills per batch. The machine will stop counting once the preset quantity is reached.

  1. Press the "BATCH" button.
  2. Use the numeric keypad or increment/decrement buttons to set the desired batch quantity (e.g., 100 bills).
  3. Place the bills into the hopper. The machine will count until the preset batch quantity is reached, then pause.
  4. Remove the batch from the stacker and press "START" to continue counting the remaining bills into the next batch.
  5. To exit BATCH mode, press the "BATCH" button again.

7. Counterfeit Detection Features

The IMC27 employs multiple detection methods to identify counterfeit currency:

  • UV (Ultraviolet) Detection: Checks for UV security features embedded in genuine banknotes.
  • MG (Magnetic) Detection: Scans for magnetic ink patterns present on authentic currency.
  • IR (Infrared) Detection: Verifies infrared security marks and patterns.
  • MT (Magnetic Thread) Detection: Detects the magnetic security thread found in many banknotes.

If a suspicious bill is detected, the machine will typically stop counting, emit an audible alert, and display an error code or message indicating the type of detection triggered. Remove the suspicious bill and press "START" to resume counting.

8. Maintenance

8.1. Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your money counter.

  1. Power Off: Always turn off and unplug the machine before cleaning.
  2. Dust Removal: Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove dust and paper residue from the bill pathways, sensors, and rollers. Pay special attention to the hopper and stacker areas.
  3. Sensor Cleaning: Carefully clean the UV, MG, IR, and MT sensors with a soft, dry cloth or cotton swab. Avoid using abrasive materials or liquids.
  4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not allow water to enter the machine.
