4. Setup

The Holdsound BKM400 headphones offer multiple connection methods to your TV. Choose the method that best suits your TV's available audio output ports.

4.1. USB Connection (Recommended for TVs with USB Audio Output)

This method is ideal for TVs that support audio output via their USB port. No additional audio cables are required.

  1. Insert USB Transmitter: Plug the Holdsound USB Transmitter directly into an available USB AUDIO OUT port on your TV. The indicator light on the transmitter will flash red and blue alternately, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  2. Power On Headphones: Long press the power button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds to turn them on. The indicator light on the headphones will also flash red and blue alternately.
  3. Pairing: After a few seconds, a slow breathing blue light will appear on both the headphone and the transmitter, indicating successful pairing.
  4. Adjust TV Audio Settings (if no sound): If you experience no sound, navigate to your TV's audio settings and ensure the Digital Audio Output Format is set to PCM. Refer to your TV's manual for specific instructions.

4.2. 3.5mm AUX Connection

Use this method if your TV has a 3.5mm headphone or audio out jack.

  1. Power the Transmitter: Plug the 3.5mm AUX cable into the transmitter's 3.5mm AUX port. Insert the transmitter directly into your TV's USB port or into an external USB power supply for power. The indicator light on the transmitter will flash red and green alternately.
  2. Connect to TV: Plug the other end of the 3.5mm AUX cable into the 3.5mm/Headphone Audio Out port on your TV.
  3. Power On Headphones: Long press the power button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds to turn them on. The indicator light on the headphones will flash red and blue alternately.
  4. Pairing: When a slow breathing blue light is on the headphone and a slow breathing green light is on the transmitter, the pairing is successful.
  5. Adjust TV Audio Settings (if no sound): If no sound, adjust your TV's audio settings to USB or switch to another connection method.

4.3. Optical Connection

Use this method if your TV has a Digital Optical/SPDIF Audio Out port.

  1. Prepare Optical Cable: Remove the plastic protective caps from both ends of the Optical Cable. Ensure the optical cable connects correctly to your TV.
  2. Power the Transmitter: Plug the Optical Cable into the transmitter's optical port. Insert the transmitter directly into your TV's USB port or into an external USB power supply for power. The indicator light on the transmitter will flash red and white alternately.
  3. Connect to TV: Plug the other end of the Optical Cable into the Digital Optical/SPDIF Audio Out port on your TV.
  4. Power On Headphones: Long press the power button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds to turn them on. The indicator light on the headphones will flash red and blue alternately.
  5. Pairing: When a slow breathing blue light is on the headphone and a slow breathing white light is on the transmitter, the pairing is successful.
  6. Adjust TV Audio Settings (if no sound): If no sound, navigate to your TV's audio settings and ensure the Digital Audio Output Format is set to PCM.

4.4. RCA Connection

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Long press the power button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To Power Off: Long press the power button again for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator light will turn off.

5.2. Volume Control

The headphones feature 16 adjustable volume levels. Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons located on the earcup to adjust the listening volume to your preference.
