Setup

  1. Install the Battery: Align the Lithium-Ion battery with the compartment on the back of the walkie talkie and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
  2. Attach the Antenna: Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the walkie talkie until it is firmly seated.
  3. Attach the Belt Clip (Optional): If desired, attach the belt clip to the designated slot on the back of the walkie talkie.
  4. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the walkie talkie's charging port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power source. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  5. Attach the Lanyard (Optional): Thread the lanyard through the loop on the walkie talkie for added security.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To power on, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates.
  • To power off, rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.

Adjusting Volume

  • Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

Channel Selection

  • Use the Up/Down arrow keys on the keypad to navigate through the 999 available channels.
  • Alternatively, use the numeric keypad to directly input a channel number.

Transmitting and Receiving

  • To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  • Release the PTT button to receive.
  • Ensure you are on the same channel and privacy code (CTCSS/DCS) as the other party.

VOX Function (Voice Operated Transmit)

  • The VOX function allows for hands-free transmission. Activate it through the menu settings.
  • Adjust the VOX sensitivity level to prevent accidental transmissions or missed voice activations.

LED Flashlight

  • Press the dedicated flashlight button (or access via menu) to turn the LED flashlight on/off. Some models may offer fixed or flashing modes.

Frequency Synchronization and Channel Copy

  • Refer to the on-screen menu for options to perform one-touch frequency search or to copy channel settings between devices. This simplifies setting up multiple units.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the walkie talkie. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care:
    • Avoid fully discharging the Lithium-Ion battery frequently.
    • Charge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in use, to maintain battery health.
    • Store the walkie talkie and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Antenna: Ensure the antenna is always securely attached. Do not operate the walkie talkie without an antenna, as this can damage the device.
