2. Safety Information
The TEMGO 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 battery is designed with safety in mind, incorporating a robust Battery Management System (BMS). However, proper handling and installation are crucial to prevent hazards.
General Safety Precautions:
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and insulated gloves, when handling batteries.
- Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
- Do not expose the battery to open flames, excessive heat, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Ensure proper ventilation during charging and discharging.
- Keep the battery away from children and pets.
- Do not disassemble, puncture, or modify the battery.
- Use only chargers compatible with LiFePO4 batteries.
Built-in 200A BMS Protection:
The integrated 200A Battery Management System (BMS) provides comprehensive protection against:

3. Product Overview

4. Setup
Unpacking and Inspection:
Upon receiving your battery, carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage. Remove the battery and check for any physical damage to the casing, terminals, or LCD screen. If any damage is found, contact customer support immediately.
Mounting:
The TEMGO LiFePO4 battery can be safely mounted in any position (upright, on its side, or inverted) due to its sealed design. Ensure the mounting location is secure, well-ventilated, and protected from extreme temperatures and moisture. Allow adequate space around the battery for air circulation and access to terminals.
Initial Charging:
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before its first use. Use a compatible LiFePO4 charger. Refer to the 'Charging' section under Operating Instructions for details.
Connecting Multiple Batteries:
This battery supports connecting up to 4 units in series (for higher voltage) and 4 units in parallel (for higher capacity). When connecting multiple batteries, ensure all batteries are of the same model and capacity, and are fully charged to the same voltage before connecting. Use appropriate gauge cables and fuses for your system configuration.

5. Operating Instructions
LCD Screen Display:
The integrated touchable smart display provides instant access to crucial battery data. Navigate through pages to view:
- Remaining battery level (State of Charge - SOC)
- Voltage
- Current input/output
- Power usage
- Estimated runtime
- Maximum and minimum cell temperatures
- Individual cell voltages
- Charging/Discharging status (ON/OFF)

Bluetooth & APP Monitoring:
Download the official TEMGO app to your smartphone. The app allows you to monitor the battery's status remotely within a 12-14 foot radius. It provides the same detailed information as the LCD screen and allows for control over charging and discharging functions.
Self-Heating Function:
The battery features an intelligent self-heating technology for cold environments. When the battery temperature drops below 32°F (0°C), the heating function automatically activates. Heating continues until the battery reaches 41°F (5°C), at which point normal charging can commence. This ensures safe and efficient charging even in sub-freezing conditions.

Charging:
Ensure your charger is specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries and matches the battery's voltage and current requirements. The maximum charge current for this battery is 200A. The self-heating function will prepare the battery for charging if temperatures are too low.
Discharging:
The maximum discharge current for this battery is 200A. The BMS will protect the battery from over-discharge. The battery provides 3840Wh of usable energy and supports a 2560W load power.

6. Maintenance
Regular Inspection:
Periodically inspect the battery for any signs of damage, corrosion on terminals, or loose connections. Ensure the battery is clean and free from dust or debris.
Storage:
If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-70% of its capacity. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Periodically check the battery's state of charge during storage and recharge if necessary.
Cleaning:
Clean the battery terminals and casing with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TEMGO LiFePO4 battery, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Battery not charging:
a. Check if the charger is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries.
b. Verify all connections are secure.
c. If ambient temperature is below 32°F (0°C), ensure the self-heating function is active and has warmed the battery to 41°F (5°C) before charging. - Battery not discharging/providing power:
a. Check for loose connections.
b. Verify the battery's state of charge via the LCD or app. If critically low, recharge.
c. The BMS may have activated a protection mode (e.g., over-discharge, over-current). Disconnect the load, wait a few minutes, and try again. If the issue persists, a full recharge may be required to reset the BMS. - Bluetooth app not connecting:
a. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
b. Make sure you are within the 12-14 foot range of the battery.
c. Restart the app and/or your phone. - Unusual temperature readings:
a. Ensure the battery is not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat/cold.
b. If the self-heating function is active, temperature will rise as expected.
