3. Product Overview

3.1 Key Features

4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your VEVOR Mobility Scooter.

4.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the scooter from its packaging. Note that the scooter is heavy (approx. 222.7 lbs / 101 kg) and may require assistance for unpacking.
  2. Inspect all components for any signs of damage during transit. Contact customer support immediately if any damage is found.
  3. Verify that all accessories are included: 2x Rearview Mirrors, 1x Charger, 1x User Manual.

4.2 Assembly

  1. Install Rearview Mirrors: Securely attach the rearview mirrors to the designated mounts on the handlebars. Ensure they are tightened and adjusted for optimal visibility.
  2. Adjust Seat: The seat can be adjusted forward and backward to provide ample legroom. Locate the adjustment lever or knob beneath the seat and move the seat to your desired position. Ensure it locks securely in place.
  3. Adjust Armrests: The armrests can be raised or flipped back for easier boarding and exiting. Adjust them to a comfortable position for riding.

4.3 Initial Battery Charging

  1. Before first use, fully charge the scooter's 60V 20A lead-acid battery.
  2. Locate the charging port on the scooter.
  3. Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port, then plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Allow the battery to charge until the charger's indicator light shows a full charge (refer to charger's instructions for specific indicator details). This may take several hours.
  5. Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

5.1 Starting and Stopping

  1. To Start: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position. The dashboard display will illuminate.
  2. To Stop: Turn the key to the 'OFF' position. Always engage the parking brake when parked.

5.2 Speed Control

The scooter features three adjustable speed modes:

Use the speed selector switch on the handlebars to choose your desired speed mode.

5.3 Driving (Forward/Reverse)

  1. Forward: Gently twist the throttle grip on the right handlebar to accelerate. Release the throttle to decelerate.
  2. Reverse: Locate the Forward/Reverse switch (labeled '5' in Figure 8) and select 'Reverse'. Gently apply the throttle. A reverse alarm will sound to alert others.

5.4 Braking

The scooter is equipped with hand brakes. Squeeze the brake levers on both handlebars to apply the brakes. Apply brakes smoothly and gradually.

5.5 Lighting and Horn

Use the lighting switch (labeled '7' in Figure 8) to control the headlight (high/low beam), tail light, and turn signals. Press the horn button (labeled '2' in Figure 8) to alert others.
