5. Setup and Installation

5.1. CPU Installation

1. Locate the Socket AM5 on the motherboard.
2. Open the CPU socket lever.
3. Carefully align the CPU with the socket, ensuring the triangular mark on the CPU matches the mark on the socket.
4. Gently place the CPU into the socket without applying force.
5. Close the CPU socket lever to secure the CPU.

5.2. Memory (RAM) Installation

1. Open the clips at both ends of the DDR5 DIMM slots.
2. Align the notch on the DDR5 memory module with the key in the DIMM slot.
3. Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the clips snap into place.

5.3. Storage (M.2 SSD) Installation

1. Locate the M.2 slots on the motherboard, typically covered by heatsinks.
2. Remove the M.2 heatsink and standoff.
3. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle.
4. Push down the SSD and secure it with the M.2 standoff/screw or the EZ-Latch mechanism if available.
5. Reattach the M.2 heatsink for optimal cooling.

5.4. Expansion Card (GPU) Installation

1. Locate the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot (usually the top-most reinforced slot).
2. Open the retention clip at the end of the PCIe slot.
3. Align your graphics card or other expansion card with the slot.
4. Press the card firmly into the slot until it clicks into place and the retention clip secures it.

5.5. Connecting Peripherals and Power

• Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and 8-pin/4-pin CPU power connectors from your power supply to the motherboard.
• Connect SATA drives to the SATA 6Gbps ports.
• Connect front panel headers (USB, audio, power/reset buttons, LED indicators) according to the motherboard manual.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Initial Boot and BIOS Setup

1. After assembling your PC, connect the power cord and monitor.
2. Press the power button. During startup, repeatedly press the DEL key to enter the BIOS setup utility.
