To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. Charge the device regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. The device has a storage capacity for up to 1000 kilometers of riding data.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. GPS Signal Acquisition Issues
- Ensure Clear Sky View: For optimal GPS performance, operate the device in an open area with an unobstructed view of the sky.
- Wait for Warm Start: If the device has been off for a while, it may take longer to acquire satellites (cold start). A warm start (after recent use) is faster.
- Restart Device: If GPS acquisition is prolonged, try restarting the device.
6.2. App Connection Problems
- Bluetooth Enabled: Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the S1 bike computer.
- App Permissions: Ensure the Navihood APP has necessary Bluetooth and location permissions on your smartphone.
- Restart App/Device: Close and reopen the Navihood APP, or restart the S1 bike computer and try pairing again.
6.3. Altimeter Inaccuracies
If you experience inconsistent altimeter readings, try restarting the device. Ensure the device has a strong GPS signal, as altitude data is often derived from GPS.
