3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the main components and controls of your Monster TVlink 300 Wireless Headphones and Transmitter Charging Base.

Headphones

  • On/Off Button: Powers the headphones on or off.
  • Volume Up Button: Increases audio volume. Also functions as Previous Song button.
  • Volume Down Button: Decreases audio volume. Also functions as Next Song button.
  • Multi-function Button (MFB): Controls playback (play/pause), answers/ends calls.
  • Mic: For voice communication.
  • USB-C Charging Port: For direct charging of headphones.
  • Charging Interface to the Base: Connects to the charging base for automatic charging.
  • Indicator Light: Displays power and connection status.

Transmitter Charging Base

  • On/Off Button: Powers the transmitter on or off.

4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Transmitter

  1. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the transmitter's USB-C port.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into a power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
  3. Press the On/Off button on the transmitter to power it on. The LED indicator will light up.

4.2 Connecting the Transmitter to Your TV

The TVlink 300 transmitter offers multiple connection options. Choose the one compatible with your television.

Optical Connection (Recommended for best audio quality)

  1. Connect one end of the Optical Audio Cable to the 'Optical Input' port on the transmitter.
  2. Connect the other end to the 'Optical Out' (or 'Digital Audio Out') port on your TV.
  3. On your TV's audio settings, select 'Optical Out' or 'Digital Audio Out' as the audio output. Ensure the format is set to PCM/Stereo, not Dolby Digital or DTS.

AUX Connection

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX Audio Cable to the 'Aux-in' port on the transmitter.
  2. Connect the other end to the 'Headphone Out' or 'Audio Out' 3.5mm port on your TV.
  3. If your TV has a 'Headphone Out' port, plugging in the cable may mute the TV speakers. Adjust TV volume as needed.

RCA Connection

  1. Connect the 3.5mm AUX Audio Cable to the 'Aux-in' port on the transmitter.
  2. Attach the RCA Adapter Cable to the other end of the 3.5mm AUX Audio Cable.
  3. Connect the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding 'Audio Out' (L/R) ports on your TV.
  4. On your TV's audio settings, ensure 'Audio Out' is enabled.

4.3 Charging the Headphones

The headphones can be charged using the charging base or directly via a USB-C cable.

Using the Charging Base (Recommended)

  1. Ensure the transmitter charging base is powered on.
  2. Place the headphones onto the charging base, aligning the charging contacts.
  3. The headphone indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, off/blue for fully charged).

Direct USB-C Charging

  1. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the headphones.
  2. Plug the other end into a power adapter or a powered USB port.
  3. The headphone indicator light will show charging status.

A full charge provides up to 45 hours of playback. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the On/Off button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the On/Off button on the headphones for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Automatic Connection

Once the transmitter is connected to your TV and powered on, and the headphones are powered on, they should automatically connect. The indicator lights on both devices will confirm a successful connection.

5.3 Volume Control

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up button.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down button.

5.4 Bluetooth Pairing (for other devices)

The headphones can also connect to other Bluetooth-enabled devices like phones or tablets.

  1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
  2. Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device (phone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for 'Monster TVlink 300'.
  4. Select the headphones to pair. The indicator light will turn solid blue when successfully paired.

5.5 Media Control (when paired via Bluetooth)

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function Button (MFB) once.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Down button.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Up button.

5.6 Call Management (when paired via Bluetooth)

  • Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-function Button (MFB) once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function Button (MFB) for 2 seconds.

5.7 Mute Function

The headphones feature a mute button on the side for quickly silencing audio, useful during commercials or interruptions.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the headphones and transmitter with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
