1. Introduction

The LEOBOG AULA Nova75 is a versatile mechanical gaming keyboard designed for optimal performance and customization. It features a 75% compact layout with 80 programmable keys, tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired), RGB backlighting, and hot-swappable switches. The keyboard also includes an 8000mAh high-capacity battery and a customizable TFT smart display for enhanced user experience.

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Keyboard

The Nova75 keyboard is equipped with an 8000mAh high-capacity battery. To charge, connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The customizable screen will display the charging status.

3.2. Connecting the Keyboard

The Nova75 supports three connection modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. You can switch between these modes using the switch located on the side of the keyboard.

  • USB-C Wired Connection: Connect the provided USB-C cable directly to your computer. The keyboard will be recognized automatically.
  • 2.4GHz Wireless Connection: Insert the 2.4GHz USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer. Slide the mode switch on the keyboard to the 2.4G position. The keyboard should connect automatically.
  • Bluetooth 5.0 Connection: Slide the mode switch on the keyboard to the BT position. On your device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone), search for Bluetooth devices and select "Nova75" to pair. The keyboard can connect to up to five Bluetooth devices simultaneously and switch between them using hotkeys or side buttons.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Customizable TFT Smart Display and Knob

The Nova75 features a 1.14-inch TFT smart display and a multi-functional knob. The display provides intuitive information such as connection mode, battery status, date/time, and selected settings. The knob allows for quick adjustments.

  • Knob Operation:
    • Fn + Long Press (approx. 5 seconds): Switch between gaming and office modes.
    • Fn + Short Press: Pause/play music.
    • Up Switch System Mode: Volume up.
    • Down Switch System Mode: Volume down.
  • Fn + Backspace: Turn on/off the screen digital display function.

For setting custom GIF images or adjusting the date/time on the screen, download the official AULA software for Windows and connect your keyboard via USB cable.

4.2. RGB Backlighting

The keyboard features 20 RGB lighting effects with adjustable brightness and flow rate. Use the dedicated software for full customization of RGB LED colors and effects.

  • Fn + /: Switch lighting color.
  • Fn + ↑: Increase lighting brightness.
  • Fn + ↓: Decrease lighting brightness.
  • Fn + →: Increase lighting speed.
  • Fn + ←: Decrease lighting speed.

4.3. Hot-Swappable Switches

The Nova75's hot-swap PCB is compatible with 3-pin or 5-pin switches, allowing for easy customization of your typing experience without soldering. The keyboard comes with pre-lubricated linear switches (LEOBOG Matcha Latte Switches for White&Green variant) for a comfortable typing feel.

4.4. Software Customization

For advanced customization, including creating keyboard shortcuts, macros, customizing RGB LED colors, and setting custom screen images/GIFs, download the official AULA software for Windows. Connect your keyboard using the USB cable to utilize the software.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the keyboard surface. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
  • Switch Replacement: Use the provided switch puller to carefully remove switches. Align new 3-pin or 5-pin switches with the PCB sockets and press gently until they click into place.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the keyboard in a dry, cool place. Use the included dust cover to protect it from dust and debris.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode switch (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your connection method. For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired and within range.
  • Backlighting not working/incorrect: Check the brightness settings using Fn + ↑/↓. If issues persist, try resetting the keyboard or using the AULA software to reconfigure lighting.
  • Custom screen not displaying correctly: Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C to a Windows PC with the AULA software installed for custom GIF/image settings. Check the Fn + Backspace function to ensure the display is enabled.
  • Keys not registering: If specific keys are not working, try replacing the switch using the provided switch puller and spare switches.
  • Connectivity issues: Try restarting your device and the keyboard. Ensure there are no strong interferences (e.g., other wireless devices) nearby.
