3. Installation Guide

This section outlines the steps for installing your PC components into the Phanteks XT View Matrix case.

3.1. Preparing the Case

Remove the side panels by unscrewing the thumbscrews at the rear of the case and gently sliding the panels off. For tempered glass panels, exercise caution.

3.2. Motherboard Installation

  1. Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
  2. Align your motherboard with the standoffs inside the case. Ensure all standoffs match the motherboard's screw holes.
  3. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.

3.3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

  1. Locate the PSU mounting area at the bottom rear of the case.
  2. Slide the PSU into its designated bay.
  3. Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the case.

3.4. Storage Drive Installation

The case supports multiple 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs. Refer to the case's internal layout for specific mounting locations.

  • 2.5" SSDs: Mount SSDs to the dedicated 2.5" brackets, typically located behind the motherboard tray.
  • 3.5" HDDs: Install HDDs into the drive cages, usually found beneath the PSU shroud.

3.5. Expansion Card (GPU) Installation

  1. Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case.
  2. Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the appropriate PCIe slots on the motherboard.
  3. Secure the card with screws.

3.6. Fan and Radiator Installation

The XT View Matrix supports up to 9 x 120mm fan positions and full 360mm radiator support at the top. The case includes 3 M25-120 D-RGB fans.

  • Mount additional fans or radiators to the designated areas using the provided screws.
  • Connect fan and RGB cables to your motherboard or a compatible controller.

3.7. Cable Management

Utilize the cable routing channels and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On

After all components are installed and cables are connected, press the power button located on the front I/O panel to start your system.

The front I/O panel provides convenient access to:

  • Power and Reset buttons
  • Lighting control buttons (no software needed for basic control)
  • Mic/Headphone jacks

4.3. 600 LED Matrix Display Control

The integrated 600 LED Matrix screen can display dynamic system statistics, animations, and custom visuals. To fully customize the display, download and install the Phanteks Nexlinq app.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.

5.1. Cleaning

  • Dust Filters: Periodically remove and clean the dust filters (if applicable) to maintain good airflow.
  • Interior: Use compressed air to remove dust from inside the case, especially from fans and heatsinks.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

  • LED Matrix Display Issues: Ensure the display cable is securely connected. If using the Nexlinq app, check for software updates or reinstall the application.
  • Overheating: Ensure all fans are installed correctly and spinning. Check for dust buildup and clean filters. Verify proper thermal paste application on CPU.
