4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before initial use, fully charge the Mastfuyi FY12DMM using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the USB cable to the device's charging port and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status.

4.2 Connecting Probes

  • Multimeter Probes: Insert the red multimeter probe into the 'VΩmA' input jack and the black probe into the 'COM' input jack for most electrical measurements. For high current measurements, refer to the specific function's input requirements.
  • Temperature Probe: For temperature measurements using the probe, insert it into the designated temperature input jacks, typically marked with a temperature symbol.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device to turn it on or off. The device will perform a self-test upon startup.

5.2 Using the Thermal Imager

The thermal imager function allows for non-contact temperature measurement and visualization of heat patterns.

  • Display: The 3.98-inch touch LCD screen displays real-time thermal images with a 320x320 resolution and a 25Hz frame rate.
  • Temperature Range: The imager measures temperatures from -20°C to 550°C (-4°F to 1022°F).
  • Thermal Sensitivity: A sensitivity of 50mk allows for the visualization of subtle temperature differences.
  • Color Palettes: Select from 15 different color modes to best visualize temperature variations for specific applications. Access these through the on-screen menu.
  • High/Low Temperature Alarm: Set custom temperature thresholds. The device will trigger audible and visual alarms if temperatures exceed or fall below these limits.
  • Automatic Hot/Cold Spot Tracking: The device can automatically identify and display the hottest, coldest, and central temperature points within the thermal image.
