3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components and controls of your dbsono DB F35 speaker.

3.1. Internal Speaker System

The DB F35 features a 60W five-driver system, including dedicated tweeters, dual woofers, and dual passive radiators, engineered for balanced and powerful sound delivery.

3.2. Durable Design Elements

The speaker is constructed with a comfort-grip silicone handle, durable housing made from shock-resistant ABS and silicone, and a premium fabric grille for enhanced protection and portability.

3.3. Water Resistance

The DB F35 is rated IPX5 water-resistant, making it suitable for splashes, light rain, and poolside use. It is designed for everyday water exposure, not for submersion or extreme water sports.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the speaker's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes a few hours.
  4. When fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off (refer to specific light behavior in the Quick Start Guide).

Note: The speaker features smart water detection in the USB-C port. If moisture is detected, the indicator light will alternate between white and yellow. Ensure the port is dry before charging.

4.2. Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds.

Note: The speaker has a smart 15-minute auto-off function to conserve power if no audio is playing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Bluetooth Pairing

The dbsono DB F35 uses Bluetooth 6.0 for a stable wireless connection up to 96 feet.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in pairing mode (the Bluetooth indicator light will flash).
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "DB-X" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation sound.

5.2. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

Connect two DB F35 speakers for a true stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press the TWS button. The TWS indicator light will flash.
  3. On the second speaker, press the TWS button. Both speakers will attempt to connect to each other.
  4. Once successfully paired, the TWS indicator lights on both speakers will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation.
  5. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.1. Audio will play in stereo across both speakers.

5.3. Bass Boost Function

Enhance low frequencies for a deeper, richer audio experience.

  • Press the BASS button (often indicated by a musical note or bass icon) to activate or deactivate the Bass Boost feature.
  • The corresponding indicator light will show the status of the Bass Boost.

5.4. Dynamic Lighting Modes

The speaker features a sleek light bar with multiple lighting modes to set the ambiance.

  • Press the Light Mode button (often indicated by a sun or light icon) to cycle through different lighting effects.
  • Continue pressing to turn the lights off if desired.

5.5. USB-C Audio Playback

The USB-C port supports stable wired audio playback in addition to charging.

  • Connect your audio source (e.g., computer) to the speaker's USB-C port using a USB-C to USB-C cable (or USB-C to USB-A cable if your device requires it).
  • The speaker will be recognized as an audio output device. Select it from your device's sound settings.

5.6. Volume Control

  • Use the '+' button to increase volume.
  • Use the '-' button to decrease volume.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the fabric grille, a soft brush can be used to gently remove dust.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Water Resistance: While IPX5 water-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to water or submersion. Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed when near water.

7. Troubleshooting
