2. Setup and Installation

2.1 CPU Installation

  1. Carefully open the CPU socket lever on the LGA1151 socket.
  2. Align the CPU with the socket, ensuring the gold triangle on the CPU matches the indicator on the socket.
  3. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it.
  4. Close the socket lever to secure the CPU in place.
  5. Apply thermal paste and install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions.

2.2 RAM Installation

  1. Open the clips on both ends of the DDR4 DIMM slots.
  2. Align the RAM module with the slot, ensuring the notch on the module matches the key in the slot.
  3. Press down firmly on both ends of the RAM module until the clips snap into place.

2.3 Storage Device Installation

  • SATA Drives: Connect SATA data cables from your storage drives (HDDs/SSDs) to the eight SATA 3.0 interfaces on the motherboard. Connect SATA power cables from your power supply to the drives.
  • M.2 NVME SSD: Insert the M.2 NVME SSD into the M.2 slot, ensuring it is properly seated. Secure it with the provided screw. This slot supports NVME protocol PCIE3.0 4X.

2.4 Power Connections

  • Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the main power socket on the motherboard.
  • Connect the 4-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the auxiliary power socket.

2.5 Front Panel and Peripheral Connections

  • Connect the front panel cables (power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, power LED) to the F_PANEL header according to the pinout diagram in your chassis manual.
  • Connect USB 3.0 front panel cables to the FUSB3.0 pin header.
  • Connect any additional peripherals such as fans to the CPU fan power socket and system fan power socket.

2.6 Expansion Card Installation

Insert PCI-E expansion cards (e.g., network cards, RAID controllers) into the PCI-E 3.0 8X slot. Ensure the card is fully seated and secured with a screw to the chassis.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Initial Power On

After all components are installed and connected, ensure the power supply is switched on. Press the power button on your chassis. The system should initiate the boot process.

3.2 BIOS/UEFI Access

During startup, repeatedly press the designated key (commonly DEL, F2, or F10) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility. Here you can configure boot order, system time, and other hardware settings.

3.3 Operating System Installation

Insert your operating system installation media (USB drive or DVD). Configure the BIOS/UEFI to boot from the installation media. Follow the on-screen prompts to install your preferred operating system.

3.4 Driver Installation

After operating system installation, install all necessary drivers for the motherboard components, including chipset, LAN, and any integrated graphics. Drivers are typically provided on a support CD or available for download from the manufacturer's website.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean dust from the motherboard and cooling components (CPU cooler, case fans) using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning. Dust accumulation can lead to overheating and reduced performance.

4.2 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the manufacturer's website for BIOS/UEFI firmware updates. Updates can improve system stability, add new features, or enhance compatibility. Follow the update instructions carefully to avoid system damage.

4.3 Environmental Considerations

Operate the motherboard within the specified temperature range of -20°C to 55°C and ambient humidity of 5% to 90% RH (non-condensing). Ensure adequate airflow within the chassis to prevent overheating.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Power/No Boot

  • Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 4-pin ATX, CPU fan, system fan) are securely connected.
  • Ensure the power supply is functional and switched on.
  • Check front panel connections (power switch).
  • Try booting with minimal components (CPU, one RAM stick) to isolate the issue.

5.2 No Display

  • Ensure the monitor is connected to the correct display output (DP or HDMI) and is powered on.
  • Verify RAM modules are correctly seated.
  • If using a dedicated graphics card, ensure it is properly installed and connected to power.

5.3 Network Connectivity Issues

  • Check all Ethernet cable connections to the 2.5G LAN ports.
  • Ensure LAN drivers are installed correctly in the operating system.
  • Verify network settings in the operating system and router.

5.4 BIOS Reset

If system instability occurs due to incorrect BIOS settings, you can reset the BIOS to default settings. This is typically done by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes or using a dedicated Clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard (refer to the motherboard layout for location).
