Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the security and functionality of your wall safe. This safe is designed to fit between standard wall studs spaced 16 inches on center.

1. Site Selection and Preparation

  • Choose a location between two wall studs that are 16 inches apart (center to center).
  • Ensure there are no electrical wires, plumbing, or other obstructions within the wall cavity at your chosen location. Use a stud finder and other appropriate tools to verify.
  • The exterior dimensions of the safe are approximately 17.72"H x 3.94"D x 14.65"W. You will need to cut an opening in the drywall that accommodates these dimensions, allowing for the safe's flange to sit flush or slightly proud of the wall surface.

2. Cutting the Opening

  • Mark the precise outline of the safe's body (excluding the flange) on the wall. Double-check measurements.
  • Carefully cut the opening using a drywall saw or similar tool.

3. Mounting the Safe

  • Insert the safe into the prepared opening. Ensure it fits snugly between the studs.
  • Secure the safe to the wall studs using the provided expansion bolts. Drill pilot holes if necessary.

Maintenance
