Setup

1. Console Placement

The PlayStation 5 Slim console can be placed horizontally or vertically. Use the included horizontal stand feet for horizontal placement. A vertical stand is sold separately if you prefer vertical orientation.

2. Connecting Cables

  1. HDMI Cable: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the console and the other end to the HDMI input on your TV or display.
  2. AC Power Cord: Connect the AC power cord to the AC IN connector on the console and then plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
  3. USB Cable (for controller): Connect the USB cable to a USB port on the console and the other end to your DualSense wireless controller to charge and pair it.

3. Initial Power-On and Setup

  1. Press the power button on the console.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including language selection, internet connection setup (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), and system software updates. An internet connection and a PlayStation Network account are required for full functionality.
  3. Pair your DualSense wireless controller by connecting it to the console with the USB cable and then pressing the PS button.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the power button on the console or the PS button on a paired DualSense controller.
  • To Power Off: From the control center, select the power icon, then choose 'Turn Off PS5'. You can also enter Rest Mode from this menu.

Navigating the User Interface
