Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Briidea WiFi Mailbox Alert. This device utilizes LoRa technology to provide long-range mail notifications to your smartphone and an indoor chime unit. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Product Overview
The Briidea WiFi Mailbox Alert system consists of a mailbox sensor and an indoor receiver unit. The sensor detects when your mailbox is opened and transmits a signal to the receiver, which then sends notifications to your connected smartphone via the GeniLife APP. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks.
Key Features:
- Instant Mail Alerts: Receive notifications on your phone and an audible alert from the indoor chime when the mailbox is opened.
- Extended LoRa Range: Provides stable wireless connectivity up to 1200 feet (1/4 mile) in open spaces, capable of penetrating 2-3 brick walls.
- Universal Compatibility: The sensor is designed to fit most metal and plastic mailboxes without specific orientation requirements.
- Durable Design: IP67 waterproof housing ensures reliable operation in various outdoor weather conditions, with resistance to temperatures from -40°F to 158°F.
- Customizable Alerts: Choose from multiple ringtones and five adjustable volume levels (Mute, 30dB, 60dB, 90dB, 110dB). A silent mode is available for night use, keeping LED flashes and app notifications active.
- Low Power Consumption: Operates on two AAA batteries (not included) with automatic low-battery reminders.

5. Mount the Mailbox Sensor
The upgraded sensor is compatible with most metal and plastic mailboxes and does not require a specific installation orientation. - Ensure the sensor is securely mounted and not easily jostled by wind or vibrations.
- Adjust the sensor's sensitivity settings within the GeniLife App if available (refer to app settings for specific options).
- App Notifications Not Received:
- Check your phone's notification settings for the GeniLife App and ensure they are enabled.
- Verify your phone has an active internet connection.
