5.2 General Installation Steps (Refer to included diagram for visual aid)
- Turn off the cold water supply to your sink.
- Install the included faucet on your sink or countertop.
- Connect the water supply line to the inlet of the filter system using the provided connectors and Teflon tape.
- Connect the filtered water outlet to the new faucet.
- Secure the system in your chosen installation position (standing or mounted).
- Slowly turn on the cold water supply and check for leaks.
- Flush the system for 5-10 minutes to remove air and carbon fines before first use.
6. Operating Instructions
The Vortopt U1 system provides filtered water on demand without requiring power.
6.1 Real-time Pressure Monitoring
The integrated real-time water pressure gauge allows for continuous monitoring of your system's performance. A drop in pressure can indicate a need for filter replacement or other maintenance.

6.2 5-Stage Super Filtration
The U1 system utilizes a 5-stage filtration process to remove contaminants while retaining beneficial minerals:

Image: Visual representation of the 5-stage filtration, showing removal of bacteria, chlorine, particles, sediment, sand, rust, chemicals, heavy metals, odor, and bad taste.
- PP Filter: Reduces sediments, rust, and solids.
- GAC Filter: Adsorbs color, odor, and chlorine.
- CTO Filter: Further reduces color, odor, and chlorine.
- UF Filter: Reduces bacteria larger than 0.01μm, colloids, and turbidity.
- POST Carbon Filter: Further purifies color, odor, chlorine, and fluoride, enhancing taste.
Important Note:
This system does not lower Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels. TDS measures total dissolved solids, including beneficial minerals like sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Reverse osmosis is the only method that removes these dissolved ions. For reduced TDS, consider a Vortopt RO system.

6.3 Applications
The filtered water from your Vortopt U1 system is suitable for various daily uses:
- Drinking: Enjoy clean, great-tasting water directly from the faucet.
- Cooking: Use filtered water for preparing food and beverages.
- Washing: Ideal for washing fruits, vegetables, and dishes.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance, primarily filter replacement, ensures optimal performance and water quality.
7.1 Filter Replacement Schedule
The Vortopt U1 system is designed for easy filter element replacement without needing to replace the outer shell, making it sustainable and cost-effective. Refer to the table below for recommended replacement cycles:

Image: Filter element diagram and corresponding table detailing function and recommended replacement cycle.
| Filter Name | Filter Element Function | Recommended Replacement Cycle |
|---|---|---|
| PP Filter | Effectively intercepts sediment, rust, and other solid impurities in water. | 3-6 months |
| GAC Filter | Effective adsorption of odor, color, residual chlorine in water. | 6-12 months |
| CTO Filter | Deep adsorption of abnormal color, odor, residual chlorine in water. | 6-12 months |
| UF Filter | Effectively intercepts bacteria larger than 0.01μm, colloids, reduces turbidity. | 18-24 months |
| POST Filter | More thoroughly adsorbs abnormal color, odor, residual chlorine in water, improves taste. | 6-12 months |
7.2 How to Replace Filters
- Turn off the water supply to the filter system.
- Use the provided wrench to unscrew the filter housing.
- Remove the old filter element and dispose of it properly.
- Insert the new filter element, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Screw the filter housing back on tightly with the wrench.
- Slowly turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
- Flush the system for a few minutes to remove any air or loose carbon.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Vortopt U1 system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Clogged filters, low incoming water pressure. | Check the pressure gauge; replace filters if due. Ensure main water supply is fully open. |
| Leaks | Loose connections, damaged O-rings, incorrect filter installation. | Tighten all connections. Inspect O-rings for damage and replace if necessary. Reinstall filters correctly. |
| Bad Taste or Odor | Expired carbon filters, initial flushing not sufficient. | Replace GAC/CTO/POST filters. Flush the system for a longer period (10-15 minutes). |
| No Water Output | Water supply off, severely clogged filters. | Check main water supply. Replace all filters. |
If you continue to experience issues, please contact Vortopt customer service for assistance.
