Setup Guide

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage.
2. Attach the Legs:

   The unit comes with four legs. Each leg is marked 'R' (Right) or 'L' (Left) on the bottom. Match these markings to the corresponding slots on the underside of the litter box. Push each leg firmly into its designated slot until it clicks into place.

3. Remove Shaft Covers:

   Locate the rotating shaft covers on both sides of the main drum. Slide the locks to the 'on' position to unlock, then lift and remove the covers. This exposes the internal gear mechanism.

4. Insert Deodorizer and Waste Bag:

   Pull out the waste bin from the bottom of the unit. Place the provided deodorizer into the designated slot within the waste bin. Line the waste bin with one of the provided waste bags, ensuring it is smoothed out and tucked into the slots to prevent interference.

   Slide the waste bin back into the unit until it is securely in place.

5. Add Cat Litter:

   Pour clumping cat litter into the main drum. Ensure the litter level is between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' lines indicated inside the drum. The unit is compatible with all types of clumping cat litter.

6. Connect Power:

   Plug the power cord into the designated port on the back of the unit, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Smart App Control

The Thereye ER-SC06-2 features 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support for remote monitoring and control via a dedicated smartphone application. Download the Tuya Smart app from your device's app store.

1. Download and Open App: Install the Tuya Smart app on your smartphone.
2. Add Device: Open the app, tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner, and select 'Add Device'.
3. Pairing: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the litter box for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. The app should detect the device (ER-SC06-2). Tap to connect.
4. App Functions: Once connected, you can:
   • Monitor real-time data, including cat's weight and litter box habits.
   • Initiate 'Empty' or 'Clean' cycles remotely.
   • Reset the device.
   • Set cleaning schedules.
   • Switch between 'Automatic' and 'Manual' working modes.
   • Adjust unit settings (e.g., change weight units to pounds).
   • Receive waste bin reminders.

Automatic Cleaning Cycle

The litter box is designed to automatically clean after your cat uses it. It features a safety system with 4 weight sensors and 3 infrared sensors. If a cat enters the litter box during a cleaning cycle, the cycle will automatically pause to ensure the cat's safety.

Maintenance

Emptying the Waste Bin

When the waste bin is full, the app will send a reminder. To empty:

1. Pull out the waste bin from the bottom of the unit.
2. Carefully remove the filled waste bag, tie it securely, and dispose of it.
3. Replace with a new waste bag and reinsert the waste bin into the unit.

Cleaning the Unit

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

• Unplug the device before cleaning.
• Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual litter or debris from the interior of the drum and the sifting mechanism.
• Wipe down the exterior and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Ensure all parts are dry before plugging the unit back in.

Replacing the Deodorizer

The deodorizer helps neutralize odors. Replace it periodically as needed. To replace, remove the waste bin, take out the old deodorizer from its slot, and insert a new one.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Thereye litter box, refer to the following common solutions:

• Unit Not Responding: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and the wall outlet. Check if the power button is illuminated.
• App Connectivity Issues: Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz and stable. Ensure the litter box is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Try restarting both the litter box and your smartphone app.
• Cleaning Cycle Malfunction: Check for any obstructions in the drum or sifting mechanism. Ensure the shaft covers are correctly installed and locked. Verify that no mat is placed under the unit interfering with weight sensors.
• Odor Persistence: Ensure the deodorizer is fresh and correctly placed. Regularly empty the waste bin and clean the unit.
• Inaccurate Weight Readings: Confirm that the unit is on a flat, stable surface and no objects are leaning against it. Avoid placing mats directly underneath.
