4. Installation

The Amico Shutter Exhaust Fan is designed for wall-mount installation and features a plug-and-play setup.

4.1 Site Selection

Choose a location on an exterior wall that allows for proper airflow and is structurally sound to support the fan's weight. Ensure adequate clearance for the automatic gravity shutters to open and close freely.

4.2 Mounting Steps

  1. Mark & Cut: Use the provided installation template to mark the precise opening dimensions on the wall. Carefully cut the opening.
  2. Insert Fan Unit: Gently slide the fan unit into the prepared opening from the exterior side, ensuring the shutters face outwards.
  3. Secure Fan: Secure the fan to the wall using appropriate fasteners (not included) through the designated mounting holes. Ensure the fan is level and firmly attached.
  4. Plug & Play: Connect the pre-wired power cord to a standard 120V electrical outlet. The fan is now ready for operation.

5. Operation

The fan features a smart thermostat and 8-speed control for customized ventilation.

5.1 Thermostat Control

The intelligent probe (3ft wire) allows the fan to activate automatically when the ambient temperature reaches your preset level. Use the 'TEMP +' and 'TEMP -' buttons on the controller to adjust the desired temperature threshold.

5.2 Speed Adjustment

The fan offers 8 adjustable speeds. Use the 'SPEED +' and 'SPEED -' buttons to select the desired airflow intensity. The fan will operate at the chosen speed when activated by the thermostat or manually.

5.3 Power-Off Memory

The built-in Power-Off Memory function automatically saves your preferred temperature and speed settings, restoring them after a power interruption.

5.4 Automatic Gravity Shutters

The fan is equipped with automatic gravity louvers. These shutters open when the fan is operating to allow air exhaust and close tightly when the fan is off, preventing drafts, rain, and insects from entering the space.
