Setup
1. Adjusting the Metal Band
To ensure a comfortable fit, the metal band may need adjustment by removing or adding links. A link removal tool is typically included with your watch.
Video: Instructions on how to remove and install metal wrist band links. For proper balance, remove an equal number of links from both sides of the band. Place the band on the removal tool, align the thimble with the link pin, and rotate to push the pin out. Reconnect the band by reinserting the pin in the direction of the eject press, then use the tool to push it flush. Always check for firmness after adjustment.
2. Setting Time and Date
Your OLEVS G2942 watch features a quartz movement with date and chronograph functions. The crown (the knob on the side of the watch) is used for setting.
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the furthest position. Rotate the crown to move the hands until the desired time is displayed. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the middle position. Rotate the crown to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. Push the crown back in once the date is set.
Operating the Watch Functions
The OLEVS G2942 watch is equipped with a multi-function chronograph and a moon phase dial.

- Chronograph (Stopwatch) Function:
The watch features a six-hand multi-function chronograph. The buttons on the side of the case control the chronograph. The top button typically starts and stops the timing, while the bottom button resets it. Refer to the diagram for specific button functions. - Moon Phase Dial:
The moon phase dial indicates the current phase of the moon. This is typically set in conjunction with the time and date, often by rotating the crown in a specific position. - Luminous Feature:
The hands and hour markers are luminous, allowing for time reading in low-light conditions. For the luminous function to activate, the watch needs to be exposed to strong light beforehand.
Maintenance
1. Water Resistance
Your OLEVS G2942 watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or rain. It is not suitable for swimming, bathing, or diving. Exposure to hot water or steam should be avoided as it can compromise the watch's seals.

2. Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
3. Battery Replacement
As a quartz watch, your OLEVS G2942 is powered by a battery. When the watch stops running, it indicates the battery needs replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance and proper functioning are maintained.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
- Date Not Changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, especially past midnight. Avoid setting the date during the automatic change period (9 PM - 3 AM).
- Chronograph Not Functioning: Ensure the chronograph is not paused. Press the reset button to return the chronograph hands to zero.
- Condensation Inside Crystal: This may indicate a breach in the watch's water resistance. Seek professional service immediately to prevent damage to the movement.
