5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mode Switching (ABXY Layouts)

The controller allows easy switching between Nintendo Switch (NS) and Xbox (XS) ABXY button layouts for intuitive cross-platform control. Refer to the controller's specific instructions for the button combination to toggle between these layouts.

5.2 Programmable Back Buttons (M1, M2)

The two rear buttons (M1, M2) can be programmed to replicate other button inputs or complex macros. Consult the full manual or Qanba's official website for detailed instructions on how to program these buttons.

5.3 Hall-Effect Joysticks and Hybrid Triggers

The Hall-effect joysticks provide high precision and are designed to resist drift. The Hall-effect/Microswitch hybrid triggers offer 256-level precision with instant mode switching, providing both analog and digital trigger responses depending on the game's requirements.

5.4 Dual Vibration Motors

The controller features dual vibration motors located in the grips and triggers, providing immersive haptic feedback during gameplay.

5.5 6-Axis Gyroscope

The integrated 6-axis gyroscope enables motion-controlled gameplay, enhancing the experience in compatible games. Some games may require specific configuration, often through platforms like Steam, to fully utilize this feature.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the controller, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the controller's finish or internal components.

6.2 Battery Care

The controller contains a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the controller regularly, even if not in constant use.
  • Store the controller in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Do not expose the controller to extreme temperatures.

6.3 Storage

When storing the controller, especially for long periods, ensure it is clean and fully charged. Keep it away from direct sunlight, high humidity, and dusty environments. Using the charging dock for storage can help keep it charged and protected.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Controller Not Connecting

  • Check Battery: Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged.
  • Wired Connection: Verify the USB cable is securely connected to both the controller and the device. Try a different USB port or cable.
  • 2.4G Wireless: Ensure the 2.4G receiver is properly inserted into a USB port and the controller is in 2.4G mode.
  • Bluetooth Connection: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the controller is in pairing mode. Remove previous pairings from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Restart Devices: Restart both the controller and the connected device (PC, phone, etc.).

  • Recalibrate: Some operating systems or games allow controller calibration. Check your device's settings.
  • Firmware Update: Check the Qanba official website for any available firmware updates for the controller.
  • Reset Controller: Locate a small reset button (often recessed) on the controller and press it with a thin object (e.g., paperclip).

7.3 Charging Issues

  • Cable/Dock Check: Ensure the USB cable or charging dock is properly connected and not damaged.
  • Power Source: Try a different USB power source (e.g., another USB port on PC, a different wall adapter).
  • Clean Contacts: Ensure the charging contacts on both the controller and the dock are clean and free of debris.
