Product Overview

Display Console

The indoor display console features a clear VA color screen that presents all collected weather data. It shows indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, rainfall, weather forecasts, time, date, and moon phases. The console has buttons for settings, alarms, and backlight control.

Outdoor Sensor

The 7-in-1 outdoor sensor unit integrates multiple sensors to measure wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, temperature, and humidity. It includes a solar panel for power assistance and a replaceable Swiss precision sensor for accurate readings. The sensor transmits data wirelessly to the display console.

Setup

1. Outdoor Sensor Assembly and Battery Installation

  1. Assemble the wind cups and wind vane onto the outdoor sensor unit using the provided screws and screwdriver. Ensure they are securely attached but can rotate freely.
  2. Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor. Insert 3 AA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity. Close the compartment securely to ensure weather resistance.
  3. Mount the assembled outdoor sensor in an open location, ideally on a pole, ensuring it is level and free from obstructions that could affect wind or rain measurements. The sensor should be positioned between 3 and 300 meters from the console for stable signal transmission.

2. Display Console Power and Placement

  1. Connect the provided power adapter to the display console and plug it into a power outlet. The console requires continuous power for optimal display brightness.
  2. Optionally, insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the console's battery compartment. These serve as a backup power source to prevent data loss during power outages.
  3. Place the display console on a flat surface using its integrated desk stand or mount it on a wall using the hanging holes.

3. Initial Synchronization

Once both the outdoor sensor and display console are powered on, they should automatically synchronize. The console will begin displaying outdoor weather data. If synchronization does not occur within a few minutes, ensure the sensor is within range and free from interference. Refer to the troubleshooting section if issues persist.

Operating

Display Functions

The main screen of the display console provides a comprehensive overview of all measured data:

  • Indoor/Outdoor Temperature & Humidity: Current readings for both locations.
  • Wind Speed & Direction: Real-time wind speed (gust and average) and a compass indicating direction.
  • Rainfall: Displays precipitation levels.
  • Atmospheric Pressure: Current barometric pressure.
  • Weather Forecast: Icons indicating predicted weather changes for the next 24-48 hours.
  • Time & Date: Current time and date.
  • Moon Phase: Graphical representation of the current moon phase.

Customizable Alerts

The station allows you to set customizable alerts for various parameters, including time, wind speed (gust/average), indoor/outdoor temperatures, indoor/outdoor humidity, felt temperature, dew point, rainfall, and absolute pressure. Consult the full manual for detailed instructions on setting specific alerts.

Power Modes

The display console can be powered by the included AC adapter for continuous operation and full backlight functionality. Alternatively, it can run on 3 AAA batteries (not included) as a backup, though the backlight may operate for shorter periods to conserve power.

Maintenance

Swiss Sensor Replacement

The outdoor sensor features a replaceable Swiss precision temperature/humidity sensor. If accuracy degrades over time, you can replace this component. Follow these steps:

  1. Carefully detach the old T/H sensor from its housing on the outdoor unit.
  2. Insert the new T/H sensor into the housing, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  3. The system should automatically recognize the new sensor.

General Care and Cleaning

  • Regularly check the outdoor sensor for debris (leaves, dirt) that might obstruct the rain collector or wind sensors. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Wipe the display console with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure battery compartments are sealed to prevent moisture ingress.

Troubleshooting

  • No Outdoor Data Displayed:
Ensure the outdoor sensor is powered with fresh batteries and within the 100m transmission range. Check for strong interference sources (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects). Try re-synchronizing by removing batteries from both units, then reinserting them first in the outdoor sensor, then the console.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
Verify the outdoor sensor is mounted level and free from obstructions. Ensure the rain collector is clean. For temperature/humidity, consider replacing the Swiss sensor if readings are consistently off.
  • Display Readability Issues:
Adjust the backlight brightness using the SNOOZE/LIGHT button. Ensure the console is powered by the AC adapter for maximum brightness. Avoid placing the console in direct sunlight or areas with strong glare.
  • Time/Date Not Set or Incorrect:
Refer to the detailed manual for specific button combinations to manually set the time and date. Some models may automatically synchronize with an atomic clock signal if available.
  • Console Not Powering On:
Check the AC adapter connection and power outlet. If using batteries, ensure they are fresh and correctly inserted.
