Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the toaster.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
  4. First Use (Burn-off): Before toasting food, operate the toaster empty on the highest setting (Level 6) for a few minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Allow the toaster to cool completely.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

  1. Insert Bread: Place up to two slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the toasting slots. Ensure items are centered for even toasting.
  2. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control knob to your desired shade setting, from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).
  3. Start Toasting: Press the carriage lever down until it locks into place. The digital display will show the selected browning level and then begin a countdown timer.
  4. Defrost Function: For frozen items, insert the item, select your desired browning level, press the carriage lever down, then press the DEFROST button. The defrost indicator light will illuminate, and the toasting cycle will adjust to thaw and toast the item.
  5. Reheat Function: To warm up already toasted items without further browning, insert the item, press the carriage lever down, then press the REHEAT button. The reheat indicator light will illuminate, and a short reheating cycle will begin.
  6. Cancel Function: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the CANCEL button. The carriage will immediately pop up.
  7. Completion: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up, and the toaster will turn off. Carefully remove the toasted items.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard accumulated crumbs.
  3. Clean Crumb Tray: Wash the crumb tray in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reinserting.
  4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  5. Internal Cleaning: Never insert utensils or fingers into the toasting slots. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully remove the item once the toaster has cooled.
  6. Cord Storage: The power cord can be wrapped around the cord storage area on the bottom of the toaster for neat storage.

Troubleshooting
