2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Initial Connection

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning Your Keyboard

  • To clean the keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to gently remove them. Wipe the keycaps with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the switches.
  • For the keyboard body, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

4.2 Replacing Keycaps and Switches

The M1 V5 HE keyboard supports hot-swappable magnetic switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering. Use the provided tools for this process.

  1. Using the keycap puller, carefully remove the desired keycap by hooking it onto the sides and pulling upwards.
  2. Once the keycap is removed, use the switch puller to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch. Gently pull the switch upwards to remove it from the PCB.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Press down firmly until the switch clicks into place.
  4. Reattach the keycap by aligning it with the switch stem and pressing down.
