3. Setup and Installation
The Garvee Portable Air Conditioner is designed for easy setup. Follow these steps to install your unit.
3.1 Exhaust Hose Assembly
- Connect the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose by twisting it securely.
- Connect the window kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose, ensuring it is firmly attached.
- Attach the assembled exhaust hose (with connector) to the exhaust air outlet on the back of the AC unit. Push and twist until it clicks into place.
3.2 Window Kit Installation
The adjustable window kit fits openings from 25.6 to 50 inches wide. Trimming may be necessary for smaller windows.
- Extend the adjustable window kit to fit your window opening. Secure it by tightening any included nuts or fasteners.
- Insert the window kit adapter (attached to the exhaust hose) into the opening of the window kit.
- Ensure all connections are sealed to prevent air leakage.

4. Operating Instructions
Your Garvee Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the touch control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
4.1 Control Panel and Remote Control
The control panel features buttons for Power, Mode, Speed, Timer, Up/Down temperature/time adjustment, and Sleep mode. The remote control offers similar functionality for convenient operation from a distance.

4.2 Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling to maintain a comfortable temperature between 62°F and 86°F.
- Dehumidifier Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air, with a capacity of 50 Pints per day.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air with two adjustable fan speeds (High/Low) without cooling.
- Sleep Mode: Optimizes settings for quiet operation and energy efficiency during sleep.
4.3 Setting the Timer
Use the 'Timer' button and the 'Up'/'Down' arrows to set the desired operating duration for up to 24 hours.
4.4 Adjusting Airflow
Manually adjust the louvers on the front of the unit to direct the airflow as needed.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Garvee Portable Air Conditioner.
5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The unit features a removable and washable air filter. To clean:
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- Clean the filter regularly, especially during periods of frequent use.
5.2 Water Drainage
The unit utilizes self-evaporating technology, reducing the need for frequent manual drainage. However, in high humidity conditions or when operating in Dehumidifier mode, manual drainage may be required.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Locate the drainage holes on the back of the unit (upper and lower).
- Place a suitable container beneath the drainage hole.
- Remove the rubber stopper from the drainage hole to allow water to flow out.
- For continuous drainage, attach the provided drainage hose to the lower drainage hole and direct it to a floor drain or suitable receptacle.
- Once drained, replace the rubber stopper securely.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Garvee Portable Air Conditioner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
