1. Introduction

The MCHOSE X9 is a versatile wireless gaming headset designed for an immersive audio experience across multiple platforms. It features 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connectivity, 53mm drivers for clear sound, 7.1 virtual surround sound, and a low-latency microphone. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of your headset.

3. Product Overview and Controls

Headset Controls:

  • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to check battery status.
  • Volume Wheel: Rotate up or down to adjust audio volume.
  • Microphone Mute Button: Press to mute/unmute the microphone.
  • Mode Switch Button (G Button): Press to cycle between 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired modes.
  • RGB Lighting Button: Press to cycle through RGB lighting effects or turn off.
  • USB-C Port: For charging and wired connection.
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack: For wired audio connection.

4. Setup and Connectivity

4.1 Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the headset's USB-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides up to 200 hours of battery life.

4.2 Connecting via 2.4GHz Wireless (USB Dongle)

  1. Insert the 2.4GHz USB wireless dongle into an available USB-A or USB-C port on your device (PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, etc.).
  2. Power on the MCHOSE X9 headset.
  3. Press the Mode Switch Button (G button) on the headset until it enters 2.4GHz wireless mode. The headset should automatically connect to the dongle.
  4. On your device, ensure the MCHOSE X9 is selected as the audio output and input device.

4.3 Connecting via Bluetooth

  1. Power on the MCHOSE X9 headset.
  2. Press the Mode Switch Button (G button) on the headset until it enters Bluetooth pairing mode (LED indicator will flash).
  3. On your mobile device, tablet, or computer, go to Bluetooth settings and select "MCHOSE X9" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED indicator on the headset will show a solid light.

4.4 Connecting via Wired Mode

For a zero-latency connection or when battery is low:

  1. Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to the headset's 3.5mm audio jack.
  2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to your device's audio output.
  3. The headset will automatically switch to wired mode.

4.5 Initial Firmware Update and Language Setting

It is recommended to check for and install the latest firmware updates for your MCHOSE X9 headset. This can resolve potential issues such as unrecognized USB devices and ensure voice prompts are in your preferred language (e.g., English).

  1. Visit the official MCHOSE support website.
  2. Locate the support or downloads section for the MCHOSE X9 headset.
  3. Download and install the latest firmware and any associated software. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the software for updating both the headset and the wireless dongle.
  4. Within the software or on the support website's FAQ, you may find options to change the voice prompt language.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the headset on or off. A voice prompt will indicate the power status.

5.2 Volume Control

Rotate the Volume Wheel located on the earcup upwards to increase volume and downwards to decrease volume.

5.3 Microphone Mute

Press the Microphone Mute Button to toggle the microphone on or off. An indicator light or voice prompt may confirm the status.

5.4 Mode Switching

The MCHOSE X9 supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired. Press the Mode Switch Button (G button) to cycle between these modes. The headset will announce the current mode (after language update).

5.5 RGB Lighting Control

Press the RGB Lighting Button to change the lighting effects or to turn the RGB lighting off.

5.6 Software Customization

For advanced settings, including detailed EQ adjustments, sound tuning, and RGB lighting options, download the MCHOSE software from the official website. This software allows for personalized audio profiles and visual effects.

5.7 Immersive Sound Experience

The headset features 53mm aluminum-coated drivers and 7.1 virtual surround sound for precise audio positioning and clarity, enhancing your gaming experience.

5.8 Low Latency Wireless

5.9 Extended Wireless Range

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Headset

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the headset.
  • For ear cushions, gently wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap solution if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Ear Cushion Replacement

The MCHOSE X9 comes with an extra set of ear pads. To replace them, gently pull off the existing ear pads and align the new ones with the headset's earcups, pressing firmly around the edges until they are securely attached.

6.3 Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the headset in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Charge the headset regularly, even if not used, to maintain battery health.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your MCHOSE X9 headset, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
