Setup Guide

1. Device Overview

• OneMesh Button: For expanding WiFi coverage with Mesh networking.
• LAN Ports (3x): 10/100/1000Mbps auto MDI/MDIX ports for wired devices.
• WAN Port (1x): 10/100/1000Mbps auto MDI/MDIX port for internet connection (e.g., from a modem).
• Reset Button: Used to restore factory default settings.
• SIM Card Slot: For inserting a standard SIM card for 5G/4G cellular internet.
• DC Power Adapter Port: Connects to the included 12V/2A power adapter.

2. SIM Card Installation

1. Ensure the router is powered off.
2. Locate the SIM card slot on the rear panel of the router.
3. Insert a standard SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the correct orientation as indicated on the device.
4. To remove the SIM card, gently push it in until it springs out.

3. Powering On and Initial Connection

1. Connect the included power adapter to the DC Power Adapter Port on the router and then plug it into a power outlet.
2. Wait for the router to power on and initialize. This may take a few minutes.
3. Connect your computer or mobile device to the router via Wi-Fi (SSID and password usually found on a label on the router) or by using an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports.

4. Accessing the Web Interface

1. Open a web browser on your connected device.
2. Enter the default IP address 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter.
3. Log in using the default username and password (refer to the label on your router or the quick start guide for default credentials).
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including changing the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password, and setting up an administrator password.

1. Dual-Band WiFi 6 Connectivity

The Z8105AX-C-RM520NGL router operates on dual bands (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz) utilizing WiFi 6 (802.11ax) technology. This provides combined wireless speeds up to 3000Mbps (573.5Mbps on 2.4GHz and 2400Mbps on 5.8GHz).

• 2.4GHz Band: Ideal for longer range and penetrating walls, suitable for general web browsing and smart home devices.
• 5.8GHz Band: Offers higher speeds and lower latency, best for demanding applications like 4K/8K streaming and online gaming.

2. 5G NR CPE Functionality

This router features a built-in 5G module supporting NSA/SA modes, providing high-speed cellular internet with maximum download speeds up to 2Gbps and upload speeds up to 900Mbps. Ensure your SIM card has an active 5G data plan for optimal performance.

3. Mesh Networking

The router supports Mesh networking to expand WiFi coverage. To set up a Mesh network:

1. Place additional compatible Zbtlink Mesh devices within range of your main router.
2. Press the OneMesh Button on both the main router and the Mesh device.
3. The devices will automatically connect and form a unified Mesh network, providing seamless coverage throughout your home or office.

4. WAN Failover (Internet Backup)

The router can use the 5G/4G cellular connection as a backup internet source if the primary WAN (Ethernet) connection fails. This ensures continuous internet access.

• Ensure a functional SIM card is inserted.
• Configure WAN failover settings in the web interface under Network settings.

Maintenance

1. Firmware Updates

Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Firmware updates can typically be found on the Zbtlink official website or through the router's web interface.

• Access the router's web interface (192.168.1.1).
• Navigate to the "System Tools" or "Firmware Upgrade" section.
• Follow the instructions to check for and install updates.

2. Cleaning and Care

Troubleshooting

1. No Internet Connection

• Access the web interface (192.168.1.1) and check the WAN/5G status.

• Reduce the distance between your device and the router, and minimize obstacles.
• Check for interference from other electronic devices.
• Consider adding Mesh devices to extend coverage and improve signal strength in larger areas.

3. Router Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive

The Z8105AX-C-RM520NGL features a built-in Hardware Watchdog. If the system freezes, it will automatically reboot within 120 seconds to restore functionality. For 5G dial-up failures, the router will reset only the 5G module, minimizing downtime.

• If the router remains unresponsive, press and hold the Reset Button for approximately 5-10 seconds to restore factory default settings. Note: This will erase all your custom configurations.
