1. What You'll Need
Ensure all components listed in the packaging are present before beginning installation. The package should include the interior assembly, exterior assembly, latch, mounting plate, drilling template, user manual, quick start guide, hex wrench, latch screws, strike plate screws, mounting plate screws, lever screw, and 8 AA alkaline batteries (not included).
2. Check Door Dimensions
Verify your door's compatibility with the lock's specifications. Refer to the diagram below for required measurements.

4. Install the Latch Bolt
- Insert the latch bolt into the door edge. Ensure the latch face is flush with the door edge and the slotted hole is centered.
- If the slotted hole is not centered, rotate and pull the latch bolt to extend it to the 2-3/4" (70mm) position.
- Secure the latch bolt with the provided screws. If your door edge is not chiseled, you may need to chisel the door edge to fit the latch bolt before screwing it in.
5. Install the Exterior Assembly
- Determine if your door is left-handed or right-handed. Adjust the exterior lever to the correct side by rotating it and tightening the screw with the hex wrench.
- Route the cable beneath the latch bolt.
- Insert the tailpiece through the slot in the latch bolt.
- Route the cable through the hole in the mounting plate.
- Secure the mounting plate with screws. Do not overtighten. Keep the mounting plate parallel to the door edge.
6. Install the Interior Assembly
- Remove the battery cover by sliding it upwards.
- Insert the cable connector to the socket on the interior assembly until it is completely attached.
- Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate. Secure both the top and bottom using the short and long assembly screws.
- Install 8 AA alkaline batteries according to the guide inside the battery holder. Ensure the ribbon is placed underneath the batteries for easy removal.
- Press and hold the reset button located on the interior assembly until you hear a confirmation tone.
- Replace the battery cover.

Your Philips Smart Door Lock offers multiple convenient ways to access your home.
1. Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint Access: The integrated fingerprint sensor allows for quick unlocking in approximately 0.3 seconds. Up to 50 unique fingerprints can be stored.
- PIN Code: Use the touchscreen keypad to enter a personalized PIN code. The lock supports up to 100 unique PIN codes. An anti-peeping passcode feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.
- Mobile App Control: Connect the lock to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network via the Philips HomeAccess App. This allows for remote locking/unlocking, monitoring lock status, and managing access from anywhere.
- Voice Control: The lock is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, enabling hands-free voice commands for locking and unlocking.
- Mechanical Key: For traditional access or in case of emergency, two mechanical keys are included.

2. Auto-Lock Function
The auto-lock feature automatically secures your door after a set period. You can adjust the auto-lock timer from 5 to 180 seconds. To instantly lock the door, hold the keypad for 2 seconds. Ensure the auto-lock function is activated and the door is securely closed for it to operate correctly.

- Passage Mode: Activate this mode by pressing the button on the interior assembly for 3 seconds. Once activated, the exterior handle can be pressed to open the door without verification. To disable, press and hold the button for 3 seconds again, and the lock will return to Auto Lock Mode.
- Privacy Mode: This mode enhances security by disabling all exterior unlocking methods except for the mechanical key.
- Silent Mode: This mode mutes all sound notifications from the lock, ideal for maintaining quiet environments.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The lock requires 8 AA alkaline batteries (not included). The lock is designed for extended battery life, up to 10 months under normal usage. The Philips HomeAccess App will provide a low battery alarm notification when replacement is needed.
