Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your smart door lock. Follow these steps carefully.

1. What You'll Need

Ensure all components listed in the packaging are present before beginning installation. The package should include the interior assembly, exterior assembly, latch, mounting plate, drilling template, user manual, quick start guide, hex wrench, latch screws, strike plate screws, mounting plate screws, lever screw, and 8 AA alkaline batteries (not included).

2. Check Door Dimensions

Verify your door's compatibility with the lock's specifications. Refer to the diagram below for required measurements.

4. Install the Latch Bolt

  1. Insert the latch bolt into the door edge. Ensure the latch face is flush with the door edge and the slotted hole is centered.
  2. If the slotted hole is not centered, rotate and pull the latch bolt to extend it to the 2-3/4" (70mm) position.
  3. Secure the latch bolt with the provided screws. If your door edge is not chiseled, you may need to chisel the door edge to fit the latch bolt before screwing it in.

5. Install the Exterior Assembly

  1. Determine if your door is left-handed or right-handed. Adjust the exterior lever to the correct side by rotating it and tightening the screw with the hex wrench.
  2. Route the cable beneath the latch bolt.
  3. Insert the tailpiece through the slot in the latch bolt.
  4. Route the cable through the hole in the mounting plate.
  5. Secure the mounting plate with screws. Do not overtighten. Keep the mounting plate parallel to the door edge.

6. Install the Interior Assembly

  1. Remove the battery cover by sliding it upwards.
  2. Insert the cable connector to the socket on the interior assembly until it is completely attached.
  3. Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate. Secure both the top and bottom using the short and long assembly screws.
  4. Install 8 AA alkaline batteries according to the guide inside the battery holder. Ensure the ribbon is placed underneath the batteries for easy removal.
  5. Press and hold the reset button located on the interior assembly until you hear a confirmation tone.
  6. Replace the battery cover.
