TECHTONGDA Stainless Steel Self Priming Water Pressure Booster Pump

Model: L144023

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your TECHTONGDA Stainless Steel Self Priming Water Pressure Booster Pump, Model L144023. This intelligent control pump is designed to boost water pressure for various domestic applications, including showers, water heaters, and solar systems, ensuring a consistent and strong water flow.

Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the pump:

  • Ensure the power supply matches the pump's specifications (220V).
  • Do not operate the pump dry (without water) as this can cause severe damage. The intelligent control system includes dry-running protection, but manual verification is recommended during initial setup.
  • Install a valve at the outlet end for easier maintenance and control.
  • Protect the pump from freezing temperatures to prevent cracking. The stainless steel pump head offers resistance, but extreme cold requires additional insulation.
  • All electrical connections should be performed by a qualified electrician.
  • Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the operating pump.

5. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the pump's performance and longevity. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

  1. Location Selection: Choose a dry, well-ventilated area protected from direct sunlight, rain, and freezing temperatures. The pump should be installed as close as possible to the water source.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the pump on a stable, level surface to minimize vibration and noise.
  3. Water Inlet Connection: Connect the incoming water supply to the Water Inlet (refer to Figure 3.2). Ensure all connections are watertight using appropriate sealing materials.
  4. Water Outlet Connection: Connect the pump's Water Outlet to your household water distribution system. It is recommended to install a valve at the outlet end for easier maintenance.
  5. Priming the Pump: Before initial operation, the pump must be primed. Open the Filling Port (refer to Figure 3.1) and slowly fill the pump casing with water until it overflows. Close the filling port securely.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect the pump to a 220V power supply. Ensure the electrical circuit is properly grounded and protected by a circuit breaker.
  7. Leak Check: After all connections are made, slowly open the water supply to the pump and check for any leaks. Tighten connections as necessary.

6. Operating Instructions

The TECHTONGDA pump features an intelligent micro-control system for automatic operation.

Figure 6.1: Digital Display and Control Panel.

  1. Initial Power On: Once installed and primed, plug in the pump. The digital display will illuminate.
  2. Automatic Operation: The pump is designed to automatically start when water is drawn (e.g., opening a faucet) and stop when water flow ceases.
  3. Intelligent Protections:
    • Dry-Running Protection: If the water supply runs out, the pump will automatically shut off to prevent damage. The "Water Shortage" indicator on the digital display may light up.
    • Freezing Protection: The pump is designed with some resistance to freezing. In extremely cold conditions, the intelligent system may activate to prevent internal damage.
  4. Digital Display Indicators:
    • Pressure: Indicates the current water pressure.
    • Water Flow: Shows the current water flow rate.
    • Power: Indicates the pump's power consumption.
    • Water Shortage: Lights up if the pump detects insufficient water supply.
    • Run: Indicates the pump's operating status.
  5. Reset Button: Used to reset the pump after a protection shutdown (e.g., dry-running).
  6. Timing Button: Allows for setting specific operating times if desired. Refer to the detailed instructions on the pump's control panel for specific timing configurations.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your pump.

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check for leaks, unusual noises, or vibrations. Address any issues promptly.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the pump and its surroundings clean and free from debris. Ensure the Cooling Fan Cover is clear to allow proper ventilation.
  • Winterization: In areas prone to freezing, drain the pump completely if it will not be used for an extended period. Disconnect power, open the drain plug (if available), and disconnect inlet/outlet pipes to allow water to escape. Store in a warm, dry place if possible, or insulate thoroughly.
  • Filter Cleaning: If your water supply contains sediment, regularly check and clean any inline filters installed before the pump inlet to prevent clogging.

8. Troubleshooting

Refer to the following table for common issues and their potential solutions:
