4. Setup: Initial Charging

Before using your Powerstation for the first time, it is crucial to fully charge it. This ensures optimal performance and extends battery life.

  1. Locate the recharge port on the unit.
  2. Connect the appropriate charging adapter (not specified in input, assume included) to the recharge port and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  3. Charge the Powerstation for a minimum of 12 hours.
  4. During charging, monitor the voltmeter. The needle should indicate a charge level within the green or yellow area.
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

Note: Always recharge the unit after each use and check the battery level regularly, even when not in use, to prevent deep discharge.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Jump Starter Function

The Powerstation can be used to jump-start cars and motorcycles with engines up to 1600cc (1.6L).

  1. Ensure the Powerstation is adequately charged (voltmeter in green/yellow).
  2. Turn off the ignition and all accessories in the vehicle to be jump-started.
  3. Connect the red (+) jump starter clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  4. Connect the black (-) jump starter clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part of the vehicle's chassis, away from the battery and fuel lines. Do not connect directly to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. Wait a few moments, then attempt to start the vehicle. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds.
  6. If the vehicle does not start, wait at least 1 minute before trying again.
  7. Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the black (-) clamp first, then the red (+) clamp.
  8. Recharge the Powerstation as soon as possible after use.

5.2. Air Compressor Function

The integrated air compressor can inflate tires, sports equipment, and other inflatables up to 17 bar (250 PSI).

  1. Retrieve the air compressor hose and the appropriate adapter nozzle from the rear compartment.
  2. Attach the nozzle to the item you wish to inflate.
  3. Connect the compressor hose to the Powerstation's compressor outlet.
  4. Turn on the compressor switch (if applicable, not explicitly shown but implied).
  5. Monitor the pressure gauge on the Powerstation and inflate to the desired pressure.
  6. Once the desired pressure is reached, turn off the compressor and disconnect the hose and nozzle.
  7. Store the hose and nozzles back in their designated compartment.

5.3. 12V DC Power Supply Function

The Powerstation provides a 12V DC output to power various compatible devices.

  1. Ensure the Powerstation is charged.
  2. Connect your 12V DC device to the 12V output port on the Powerstation.
  3. The output is protected against overload. If the device draws too much power, the protection may activate, temporarily cutting power. Disconnect the device and check its power requirements.

5.4. Emergency Light Function

The integrated 3.6W light provides illumination in dark conditions.

  1. Locate the Lighting ON/OFF switch on the front panel.
  2. Toggle the switch to the 'ON' position to activate the light.
  3. Toggle the switch to the 'OFF' position when illumination is no longer needed to conserve battery.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your Powerstation.

  • Recharging: Always recharge the unit immediately after use. If not used frequently, recharge every 3 months to prevent battery degradation.
  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the Powerstation in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the clamps are clean and properly stored to prevent accidental short circuits.
  • Battery Check: Periodically check the battery level using the test button and voltmeter.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Powerstation, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Unit does not turn on/charge:
    • Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the unit and the power outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
    • Check the voltmeter. If the battery is completely depleted, it may require a longer initial charge to reactivate.
  • Jump starter not working:
    • Confirm the Powerstation is fully charged.
    • Ensure clamps are connected correctly and securely to the vehicle battery terminals and chassis.
    • Check for corrosion on vehicle battery terminals and clean if necessary.
    • The vehicle's battery might be severely damaged and beyond the capacity of the jump starter.
  • Air compressor not inflating:
    • Ensure the hose and nozzle are securely attached to both the Powerstation and the item to be inflated.
    • Check for leaks in the hose or connections.
    • Verify the Powerstation has sufficient charge.
  • 12V DC output not working:
    • Check if the connected device is compatible with 12V DC input.
    • The device might be drawing too much current, activating the overload protection. Disconnect and try a lower-power device.
