4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the DRS-95 from its packaging.
  2. Place the unit on a stable, level surface or install it into a 19-inch rack. Ensure sufficient space for ventilation around the unit.

4.2 Antenna Connections

  1. Wi-Fi Antenna: Screw the supplied Wi-Fi antenna onto the 'WIFI ANTENNA' connector on the rear panel.
  2. FM/DAB+ Antenna: Connect the supplied FM/DAB+ antenna to the 'RADIO ANTENNA' connector. Extend the antenna for optimal reception.

4.3 Audio Connections

Connect the DRS-95 to your audio system using one of the following methods:

  • Analog Output: Connect the 'LINE OUT (RCA L/R)' jacks to the corresponding analog audio inputs on your amplifier or active speakers using RCA cables.
  • Digital Optical Output: Connect the 'TOSLINK' port to an optical digital input on your amplifier or DAC using an optical cable.
  • Digital Coaxial Output: Connect the 'COAXIAL' port to a coaxial digital input on your amplifier or DAC using a coaxial cable.

4.4 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the 'POWER' switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the supplied power cord to the 'AC INPUT' on the rear panel and then to a grounded mains socket.

4.5 Network Connection

The DRS-95 requires an internet connection for Internet Radio and UPnP/DLNA features.

  • Wi-Fi: After powering on, navigate to the network settings menu. Select 'Wireless Network' and follow the on-screen instructions to scan for available Wi-Fi networks, select yours, and enter the password.
  • LAN (Wired): Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or network switch to the 'LAN' port on the rear panel. The device will automatically attempt to establish a wired connection.

5. Operating

5.1 Powering On/Off

Flip the 'POWER' switch on the rear panel to ON. Then, press the 'Power Button' on the front panel to turn the unit on. Press the 'Power Button' again to put it into standby mode. To fully power off, use the rear 'POWER' switch.

5.2 Basic Navigation

Use the 'TUNE/SELECT' dial to scroll through menu options and lists. Press the dial to select an item. Use the 'MENU' button to access the main menu and the 'BACK' button to return to the previous screen. The 'FORWARD' button can be used for quick navigation in some menus.

5.3 Internet Radio

Access thousands of radio stations and podcasts worldwide.

  1. From the main menu, select 'Internet Radio'.
