5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble your PC components within the MUSETEX M1 case.

5.1. Opening the Case

  1. Remove Side Panels: Locate the thumb screws on the rear of the case for the tempered glass side panel and the solid metal side panel. Unscrew them and carefully slide off the panels. Place the tempered glass panel on a soft, flat surface to prevent damage.
  2. Remove Front Panel: The mesh front panel can be gently pulled from the bottom to detach it, revealing the front fan mounting area if applicable.

5.2. Motherboard Installation

Install the motherboard first before other components for easier access.

  1. Install the I/O shield (if not pre-attached to your motherboard) into the rear opening of the case.
  2. Align your Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard with the standoffs inside the case.
  3. Secure the motherboard using the provided screws from the accessory kit.

5.3. CPU Cooler Installation

Install your CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it does not exceed the 160mm height limit.

5.4. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation

  1. Remove the necessary PCIe slot covers from the rear of the case.
  2. Insert your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot on the motherboard.
  3. Secure the graphics card with screws. Ensure the card length does not exceed 265mm.

5.5. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

  1. The M1 case supports bottom-mounted power supplies. Position your PSU in the designated area at the bottom rear of the case.
  2. Secure the PSU with screws from the accessory kit. Ensure the PSU length does not exceed 160mm.

5.6. Storage Drive Installation (HDD/SSD)

  1. Locate the 3.5" HDD bay and 2.5" SSD mounting points inside the case.
  2. Mount your drives using the appropriate screws from the accessory kit.

5.7. Fan Installation

The M1 case includes one 120mm rear fan. Additional fans can be installed at the top.

  1. Mount the included 120mm fan to the rear exhaust position using the provided screws.
  2. For optional top fans, mount up to two 120mm fans to the top panel.
  3. Connect the fan cables to the appropriate fan headers on your motherboard (e.g., SYS_FAN).

5.8. Cable Management

7.1. Cleaning Dust Filters

The M1 case features a magnetic dust filter on the top panel to prevent dust accumulation. Regular cleaning is recommended.

  1. Gently lift the magnetic dust filter from the top of the case.
  2. Clean the filter using compressed air, a soft brush, or by rinsing it with water (ensure it is completely dry before reattaching).
  3. Place the clean filter back onto the top panel.

  • System Not Powering On:
