Installation
The Kohree Deluxe RV Vent Fan is designed to fit standard 14" x 14" roof openings. Professional installation is recommended, but experienced DIYers can follow these guidelines.
Tools and Materials Required (Not Included):
- Screwdriver (Phillips head)
- Drill
- Wire strippers/crimpers
- Butyl tape (additional, if needed)
- Lap sealant (self-leveling, RV-grade)
- Cleaning solution (e.g., isopropyl alcohol) and rags
- Measuring tape
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Opening: Ensure the roof opening is clean, dry, and free of old sealant or debris. The standard opening size is 14" x 14".
- Apply Sealant Tape: Apply a strip of butyl tape around the bottom edge of the fan's mounting flange.
- Position the Fan: Carefully place the fan unit into the roof opening, ensuring it is properly aligned. Press down firmly to create a seal with the butyl tape.
- Secure the Fan: From inside the RV, attach the interior trim piece and secure it with the provided screws. Ensure the fan is flush with the ceiling.
- Wire the Fan: Connect the fan's wiring to your RV's 12V DC power supply. The black wire is negative (-), and the red wire is positive (+). Ensure connections are secure and insulated.
- Apply Lap Sealant: Apply a generous bead of RV-grade self-leveling lap sealant around the entire perimeter of the fan's exterior flange on the roof to create a watertight seal. Cover all screw heads.

Key Functions:
- Power ON/OFF: Press the power button on the unit or remote to turn the fan on or off.
- Speed Adjustment: The fan offers 10 adjustable speeds. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the remote or control panel to increase or decrease fan speed.
- Reversible Airflow: Change the direction of the fan to either exhaust air out of the RV or draw fresh air in. This is controlled via a dedicated button on the remote or unit.
- Instant Fresh Air Mode: This mode utilizes Shin-Etsu Photocatalyst Technology to eliminate odors and maintain fresh air. When activated, the fan automatically runs at speed 1. The High Temperature function is OFF by default in this mode.
- Rain Sensor: The built-in rain sensor automatically closes the lid when rain is detected, protecting your RV interior. To reopen the lid after it has closed due to rain, the Rain Sensing Switch must be manually turned off.
- Thermostat: The automatic thermostat allows you to set a desired temperature. The fan will activate automatically when the interior temperature rises above the set point (default 77°F / 25°C) to cool the space.
